It is a case study in ineffective school board oversight. It begs the question why we need school trustees at all.

How does it involve "ineffective school board oversight"?

And why would we dispense w school trustees?

Isn't it the case that Kerry / Kayla read the collective bargaining agreement, saw that it promoted inclusion of trans people and decided to masquerade as the most grotesque trans person he could visualize in order to force the board to pay him a million-$ severance to avoid embarrassment?

How is that ineffective school board oversight? The creep found a drafting oversight and decided to exploit it for $$$.

There isn't a collective agreement in existence that allows employees who are responsible for children to wear kink wear to work or for shop teachers to engage in ANY behavour that might distract students from their attention to nearby machinery (nevermind distracting them from any actual instruction). If the Trustees think that's what the collective agreement says, they need to be off the Board. Being that wrong about what can go on in a shop class could easily have led to a real injury. First rule of the shop - NO HORSEPLAY!

I was just guessing at what happened. But I think it's a problem. How do you guess when a trans woman whose appearance is extreme and unconvincing is actually not genuine about the transition and just playing the board?

I'd be very curious to see what the internal deliberations on the school bard were like.
It wouldn't surprise me if any rules about accommodation were written without assuming you would have to "verify" the person. There is a long history of gatekeeping in trans issues and in general people often don't assume someone is going to specifically look for how to fuck with a system.

But here we are. Someone did and so the real question becomes what kind of policy do you put in to prevent people deliberately trying to fuck with shit going forward.

Busty should pay back the canadian taxpayers at least $300000, for all the trouble he caused. First, he traumatized a lot of children who he taught. Second, a lot of police and fire dept resources were wasted, attending to the bomb threats, that Busty caused. Third, he should pay the school board back the 4 months of paid leave, that he scammed from the Halton District School Board!!

I would wonder if you'd need new policy.
Busty tried to troll the board but the board's indifference meant Busty just had to dress in ridiculous drag continually in front of a room of teenagers and still do their job.
I can't see anyone else thinking this was successful trolling or a path to long term disability cash or suing the board.
Its not like Mitch is going to see this as a chance to troll the school boards and make a killing.

They quietly played by the rules and let Busty dress as they wanted.
Some right wingers protested and posted threats to the schools but I'd expect this generation of kids are so trans positive that they wouldn't care in the least unless it was obvious Busty was trolling.

That's totally different. The freedom convoy, was a legitimate protest. Also, Justin is now trying to put Tamara Lich in prison etc. I don't see anyone trying to put Busty in prison, for totally lying......LMAO
