Today Trump ordered the U.S. Mint to stop producing pennies.
They cost 3.7 cents each to produce, and usually just end up at the bottom of drawers or in piggy banks, similar to why Canada stopped minting them years ago.
I wonder how long they'll be accepted as valid currency, cuz apparently there are zillions of them in circulation.
Of course they'll have to go through the "point of sale" software issue, similar to what Canada did, with rounding up or down on cash purchases...
