Masks, social distancing, hand washing, and lockdowns are a huge factor. Also a much higher % of the population got flu shots this year.

Apparently the sales of cold and flu medications have decreased drastically this year.

It’s a strange data point. So flu is down while COVID was pandemic. If masks worked they would have stopped flu and COVID. They didn’t stop COVID based on the numbers.
Is it possible that, since coronavirus has been a cause of the common cold for years, that people with the flu were recorded as having COVID? There’s millions of viruses that cause both.

Supposedly the Covid test can detect Covid specifically, as differentiated from the usual known flu viruses. But I dunno if that's true with all tests and all mutations. And it seems Covid is far more contagious...

Also most masks will let the Covid virus through. Double masking and actual medical grade masks would have been more effective.

This year I never saw anyone with the cold or a flu.

Yes, covid and the flu are very different virus families. It's like differentiating a dog from a monkey. Like with the variants, a german shepherd is different from a poodle but you can still identify them as dogs.

So you’re saying masks didn’t work against COVID yet we still need to wear anything on our faces?

The best masks will stop the virus. Non-medical masks can lessen the transmission of breath water-droplets that can carry the virus, and
reduce the distance they travel, so to that extent they are effective in reducing transmission of the virus as well.

When we speak and breathe "moistly", that is...

Especially when both parties are wearing a mask. 2 sub-par masks make for a good barrier as opposed to just one mask.

The fact that anyone with flu-like symptoms stayed the fuck at home is the main factor. Covid is an asymptomatic spreader.

Only if they were sick.

Healthy people, no matter the amount of masks worn is IMPOSSIBLE to get each other sick.

But I guess you want to hear that tid bit of info from an "expert" or "Doctor" or "CNN" before believing that fact, right?

The numbers went through the roof in October after months of decline pre-mask and the second lock down happened only after the masks went on.

Now a talk of a fourth lock down??

You tell me how good masks are.
I’d rather see you in a mask than not. Pick up a real mask, properly fitted, medical grade.

Exactly!

But I guess you also couldnt back up your claim either.

Unfortunately the EXPERTS and DOCTORS told us not to. Just cover your face with anything but medical grade.

Does that make any sense to anyone during a deadly virus outbreak??? https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/about-face-coverings.html

The first "DONT" is the funny one. How many cloth mask wearers are out there telling others to mask up? LMAO 😂
