A new, this time mini-series, adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic.

The title is misleading Tom Hardy is the executive producer but he may not be in the show. He's showcasing his friends: Guy Pearce (Lawless) is Ebenezer Scrooge, Andy Serkis (Venom II) and Stephen Graham (Taboo) are in it.

It could be a surprise, it doesn't say who's playing The Ghost of Christmas Present.

Bojack Horseman.

It’s not what you think it is. People will watch trailers or clips and think it’s a wacky Family Guy-esque show about talking animals. It’s not. If you watch it, watch the full first season. It starts slow and the first few episodes are a bit hard to get into. Has 6 seasons now, 3 of which are sitting at 100% on rotten tomatoes, and the rest (aside from the aforementioned slow season 1) are in the high 90s. Brilliant show that takes a lot of risks and somehow nails them every time. Very funny show, but also very poignant and bittersweet. Probably the most realistic portrayal and discussion of mental illness and addiction I’ve ever seen, ironically.

Has anybody watched Top Boy on Netflix? A British show dealing with the drug trade in London. I've watched 5 episodes so far and am still undecided but I am enjoying it a bit more now that I am getting used to the heavy accents. LOL

If you're into dark sci fi in the same manner of Battlestar Galactica (2004 not Loren Green) I highly recommend The Expanse on Amazon Prime.

Banshee is a tough act to follow but Jett could be a sleeper hit for Cinemax/HBO. Carla Cugino and Geite Jensen are not afraid of their birthday suits.

Geite's cowgirl scene is hysterical, I had to watch it again. She's giving a nightclub owner a ride while singing a tone deaf version of Blondie's The Tide is High. You have to be good to sing that bad. lol

Loved the show as well. But you and I may be the only ones. No decision from Cinemax yet on a second season.

It's official, FX will carry A Christmas Carol in North America.

And Stephen Knight let the cat of out the bag "the executive producer" is in the series. I'll watch it for Guy Pearce as Ebenezer Scrooge, Stephen Graham as Jacob Marley, Andy Serkis as The Ghost of Christmas Past.

Stephen Graham as Jacob Marley - have to wrap my head around that one. His Capone was stupendous!

Peaky Blinders and Jett. Jett has lots of nudity - not that there's anything wrong with that!

Gorgeous and zany Gaite Jansen is in both.

Bodyguard on Netflix (amazing action and intrigue; last episode is unreal)

Mindhunter on Netflix

Tin Star on Amazon (Tim Roth as a Chief of Police in small Canadian town in the Rockies...I’m on 3rd episode; it has gotten DARK)
