With billions of dollars at stake and widespread betting, etc. I'd favor the view that there is rigging going on.
Rigging in the NFL is hardly a new phenomenon. It's was going on 50 years ago, especially behind the Hogs.
With instant replay and all the angles, it's hard not to argue that it's rigged. All you have to do is watch and you'll see it. The use of the rules is loose too. Protecting the QB has gotten out of hand, with QBs rushing all the time and dropping at the last possible second. That's BS as well as the hits that happen as he releases the ball when throwing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the QB had to go down, feet first slide, when he was withing 5 yards of an opposing player.

Possibly the opposite. With replay and all the angles, it's more difficult to rig a game. The whole world can see and then point fingers.
That doesn't mean that the refs won't still get it wrong sometimes but it also doesn't mean that the game is rigged.
Because of the level of betting going on it makes sense that there is some level of rigging happening. The Bills got jobbed on that 4th down call but in reality they lost the games with terrible defense and having to rely too often on picking up 4th downs. KC was the better team that game, let's face it.
Because of the level of betting going on and the unsavory characters involved, you'd be risking your life trying to rig games once you piss off the wrong people. There would have already been some casualties.
