Bills lost on some dodgy calls.
But still it was a fun exiting game to watch.
Lots of back and forth with scoring, turn overs, etc.
The Bills cannot win without Josh Allen, but they also can come up short because of Josh Allen:
1) 2 interceptions, one of which was
CRUCIAL. That long pass to Brandin Cooks who caught the ball, but was taken from his hands by Denver DB, Ja'Quan Macmillan as the rolled to the turf. That pass was a little short which gave MacMillan the opportunity to wrest the ball from Cooks. Not all Allen's fault on that play, but
had that pass been just 1/2 as yard further, Buffalo wins in OT.
2) 2 fumbles. one of which was
CRUCIAL. With just 16 seconds to go before halftime in a game Buffalo was trailing 17-10, the Bills with no timeouts remaining and on their own 35 yard line decided they wanted to try get some points. Allen bolted from the pocket , lackadaisically carrying the ball in one hand asking to be stripped on a play that just didn't need to happen. The Bills had no timeouts, so the half was going to end as soon as Allen was tackled. Instead, he fumbled the ball and it was recovered by the Broncos with two seconds left in the half.
Denver ended up getting a field goal out of Allen's gaffe. Had Allen's fumble not occurred, Denver would have had 3 points less and the score at the end of regulation would have most likely been Buffalo 30; Denver 27.
3)
CRUCIAL 23 yard pass to a wide open Dalton Knox with about 10 -15 seconds left in the game at the Denver 9 yard was a little too high for Dalton to catch a and run into the end zone for the win in regulation time.
Had Allen's pass been just a foot and half lower, Buffalo wins.
4)
CRUCIAL Short pass to the right on the 8 yard line that skipped off the turf into the hands of Shakir who ran it into the Denver end zone would have produced a touchdown to win the game.
Had Allen's pass been just been a little bit higher Buffalo wins in regulation time.
5 Bills turnovers and missed pass connections originating from their QB, not the officiating, lost them the game.
The good news is that Denver, without Bo Nix, ain't going to the SB.
