Seattle Seahawks are the Number 1 NFC seed. Did not see that coming.
Denver Broncos are the Number 1 AFC seed. Did not see that coming either.

Pittsburgh snuck in 26-24 when Ravens kicker missed makeable field goal. It was a winner take all. Great game. Aaron Rodgers delivered.
Carolina Panthers made it with a 8-9 losing record when the Falcons beat the Saints. Tampa Bay would have made it had the Saints won. NFC South worst division

WILD CARD ROUND

AFC: Denver Broncos Bye
January 11: 1.00 pm: 3 Jacksonville Jaguars vs 6 Buffalo Bills
January 11: 8.00 pm: 2 New England Patriots vs 7 Los Angeles Chargers
January 12: 8.15 pm: 4 Pittsburgh Steelers Vs 5 Houston Texans

NFC: Seattle Seahawks Bye

January 10: 8.00 pm: 2 Chicago Bears vs 7 Green Bay Packers

The Black Monday coaching massacre is in full swing:

1. The Atlanta Falcons fired Coach Raheem Morris and GM Terry Fontenot
2. The Cleveland Browns fired coach Kevin Stefanski
3. The Las Vegas Raiders fired coach Pete Carroll after just one season. He was hired on the recommendation of minority owner Tom Brady

Here goes nothing:
Bills over Jags
Pats over Chargers
Texans over Steelers
Bears over Packers
Eagles over 49ers
Rams over Panthers

Keep in mind at the beginning of the year I predicted a Super Bowl rematch this year between the Eagles and the Chiefs.

If Matt Stafford really wins MVP, then they need to go back and give Lamar the MVP he should won last year

So I was a fan of stafford winning it until I actually looked at the stats. Apparently puka nacua had one of the best seasons any non-jerry rice WR had ever. His yards per catch over expectation is better than like 9 teams' wide receivers combined, his average time within 2 yards of the nearest defender is like top-4 since 2000, and he's doing all of this despite being double-teamed on ~30% of his routes. Compare this to maye who is doing all of that with a bunch of guys (barring diggs) that not even patriots fans could name, and it sorta has to go to him.

All of what you said + winning your division (and being a top 2 seed in your conference) is usually a requirement for winning MVP which Maye has done and Stafford hasn’t. Last MVP to not win their division was Adrian Peterson back in 2012

No surprise there. Atlanta in particular underperformed. Morris starting the season with Penix Jr. over Cousins was a big mistake.

Wildcard round picks (s/u)

AFC
Patriots over Chargers (2nd highest confidence rating)
Jaguars over Bills (Jags have won 8 in a row. Bills have been inconsistent and don't play well in J'ville)
Texans over Steelers (Texans have won 9 in a row but this is going to be a battle in the trenches)

NFC
Eagles over 49'ers (could go either way but deferring to home team)
Packers over Bears (Bears fans gonna be disappointed yet again)
Rams over Panthers (highest confidence rating)

Mike Tomlin HC of the Steelers has an impressive 19 consecutive seasons with a winning record.
They beat the Ravens without their suspended best WR DK (dumbhead) Metcalfe.
The job he did with Aaron Rodgers this year was phenomenal.
He doesnt get the credit he deserves.
Underrated, for sure

What job did he do with Aaron?

Coach him up, work with him on his fundamentals, his passing progressions ...... ?

He's a good coach but not great, due to a lack of post season success. Yes he won a SB in 2008 and lost in the SB finals in 2010 but since then the Steelers are 3-9 in the post season.

Bill Belichick won 6 SB with Tom Brady made him a great coach
Andy Reid has won 3 SB with Patrick Mahomes. That makes him a great coach
Post season success is predicated on having a great QB.
Mike Tomlin won SB when he had one in QB Ben Roethlisberger.
Considering he has been saddled mostly with lousy QBs like the atrocious Justin Fields, his consecutive 19 years of winning football qualifies Mike Tomlin as a great coach

Cousins TD totals for the last 3 years : 18, 18 and 10. His stats are nearly identical to Penix in 2025. Did you think he was magically going to get the same stats he did several years ago in Minny ?

foolish statements. Brady would not have been great if he was not in the right system with great coaches. If Cleveland or the Jets took Brady we would never have heard of him.
Andy Reid is a great coach - Mahomes is one of the greatest QBs to play the game but seems to have lost some magic and athletic ability the last 2 years
Jalen Hurts, Nick Foles, Joe Flacco and Trent Dilfer were never great QBs. Their teams were good enough to win with they being game managers, much like New England was in the early Brady years. Big Ben the rapist was a rookie I believe when he won his 1st SP. He was far from great and never really was one to put the game on his back. Pittsburgh has always been a run first team and that with great defense and special teams, along with great coaching is what wins.

How long was Tomlin "saddled" with future HOF'er Roethlisberger for?

Dude he had a very good QB in Ben Roethlisberger for most of his coaching career 2007-2021 seasons. Yes I would say that since Ben retired its been rough with guys like Kenny Pickett, Mitchell Trubisky, Mason Rudolph, Russell Wilson and Justin Fields all taking turns at the helm. Luckily they have had the beneficiary of weak sisters (Browns and Bengals) in their division.
