"Time To Wear N95 Mask"? I have been since last year. BTW the OP vid presented no evidence that K95 masks are any more effective at stopping airborne covid, or covid in any other form, than surgical or cloth masks.

I've been wearing 3M brand N95 masks since the pandemic started, it cost me a fortune, though the prices have dropped as there are more in supply.

There is no evidence of transmission from free-floating viral particles. The transmission is from respiratory droplets and aerosols, the smallest of which are in the 5 um range.
...and surgical masks filter down to 1um.
"The surgical mask blocked about 60% of .03 micron particles and over 90% of 1 micron and 2.5 micron particles."

"in one study, researchers tested particles down to .007 microns (even smaller than viruses) and found that a simple surgical mask blocked 80%."

"... it’s downright surprising that surgical masks are just as effective [as N95 masks]! Maybe virus particles are actually easy to capture because they fly on water droplets.

N95 do generally give a better seal than surgical masks (if fitted properly) and are more capable of filtering out incoming infections which surgical masks aren't really designed for. The percentage difference between them and surgical masks isn't large enough to make a difference to people casually exposed to potential infection though for someone in an infectious disease ward, they would make sense. Even general hospital staff are wearing surgical masks.

Of course if N95 masks aren't worn properly then that few percentage points don't make much of a difference. Try telling all those guys with beards that they have to shave them every day.

I know someone in the trade (yes, he is Italian). I'll ask him to get me an N95.

3M N95 can be bought through eBay from US. About 55-65 $ Can (Shipping included) Just have to search and see. Shipping time is about 6-10 days.

Price is for Box of 20. (Get the sealed box, then verify with 3M for authenticity)
Also, look for seller with almost zero negative ratings and high sales (usually in 1000s) Otherwise it's waste of time.

Beards should be illegal during the pandemic. Also, for extra protection you should be wearing ski goggles as the virus can enter your body through your eyes. I hope that you all have a proper decontamination chamber set up in your front hallway as you simply bring the

virus to your home, stuck to your hair and your cloths.

But there is a solution. Scientists are now promoting a new way to protect yourself and others from the virus. Try this "Propeller Beanie". It creates a vortex of air that pushes the virus straight down to the ground. Just have to remember to wash you feet in addition to

washing your hands!

The 3M N95 masks I use up to 5X. After use, I put them in the oven at 180 degrees F for 30 minutes. Then spray them will rubbing alcohol....
...and then throw them out.

I have about 3 dozen KN95 masks. I never throw them out, or put them in the oven, or spray them with anything. Just rotate them so i'm wearing each mask about once a month. Within a few weeks the virus has died a natural death.

Or use a UV light tool.

Ditto. I secured a supply for myself through my employer early last spring. All the N95s disappeared literally days later, even from the trades stores. All those who claim that the surgical masks are as good as N95 are full of shit. The Chinese sure stopped shipping them all of a sudden and redirected all the production to the domestic market-and the Americans did exactly the same thing, btw. In Canada we spent more than half a trillion on Covid, yet our governments couldn't find and subsidize a domestic producer for N95.
