Just watched Ozark's. Didn't notice any change to the picture quality.
Exactly, and neither did I. At some point, I'm going to be a sucker and spring for a high end 4K OLED TV, and I can't even tell the difference between 720 and 1080? All this shows is how critical is our telecom infrastructure as we move forward into this new world. More bun fights to come in the battle between the urban/rural divided and the cost of services.

They have dropped the bitrate from the standard 3.8 to 8.0 Mbps to about 1.6 Mbps.

This will drop the resolution down from 1080p to 720p. Even though most TVs will still register a 1080p signal. The visible resolution has been dropped.

It is understandable why this is done because of the demand, but it doesn't change the fact that most people are paying for 1080p and are no longer getting it.

Therefore Netflix should be adjusting the monthly rate accordingly. The fact that they are not is a point of concern. Especially at a time when most people are out of work, and money is tight. People shouldn't be expected to pay full price for what is not a full service.

This should really be put out more on social media, and Netflix shamed into doing the right thing.
