Have you seen the truce proposal the Israelis have been leaking?
Once IDF eliminates the Iranian weapons an international force with UN inspectors deploys to Gaza to ensure Hamas does not rearm, Fatah troops take over the border areas with international monitors checking for smuggling, and then the blockade is lifted.
It is a good plan, hopefully Netanyahu will stay the course.
Obama won't let this run that far, it appears. The elimination of the rockets and the imposition of some system to ensure that Iran cannot replenish them.
The leaked Israeli proposal is that the borders of a Gaza on the Palestinian side would be manned by a joint force made up of Fatah and UN observers. Hamas world be banned from the border area. There would also be a UN force tasked with searching for tunnels and hidden rockets. If the UN comes in it should take over all the borders of all the occupied territories.
As if that one will fly.The leaked Israeli proposal is that the borders of a Gaza on the Palestinian side would be manned by a joint force made up of Fatah and UN observers. Hamas world be banned from the border area. There would also be a UN force tasked with searching for tunnels and hidden rockets.
Under these conditions the border crossings, port if Gaza, and Gaza Airport would open.
This would be done after destroying all the existing Iranian weapons as a strategy to make sure Iran cannot replace them.
Fatah would actually have responsibility but the UN observers would be there to ensure nothing gets smuggled in.
The overall idea is to strengthen the moderate responsible Palestinians and crush the terrorists.
It will once Hamas has been eliminated. Fatah will agree to it.As if that one will fly.
Hamas won't be eliminated, this one is almost over.It will once Hamas has been eliminated. Fatah will agree to it.
Hamasv obviously had rejected it because they really don't want to stop attacking Israel.
Note that it does end the blockade. The price for ending the blockade is disarming Hamas.
Netanyahu may chicken out and call it once all the Palestinian war tunnels are destroyed but that woyld be a mistake. There will never be peace so long a Hamas exists.Hamas won't be eliminated, this one is almost over.
And a NATO navy will never cross into Israeli waters without permission. (and I'll believe the navy will be there when they sail - all we have are IHH claims)...
Meanwhile, Turkey is sending another Gaza flotilla, this time with the protection of their navy.

Israel would never attack a NATO country.
How fucked up do you have to be to ignore that Palestinians overwhelmingly are opposed to a one state solution where everyone has equal rights. You've been provided the Palestinian polling data time and time again yet you still continue with this farce....
Since the demographics now favour Palestinians, there are more Palestinians living under Israeli rule then Jews, Israel is seriously afraid of equal rights....
That's fucked up.
Are Gaza waters Israel waters? And a NATO navy will never cross into Israeli waters without permission. (and I'll believe the navy will be there when they sail - all we have are IHH claims)
Occupied by Israel. And that occupation is recognized by the UN. So Israel is the sovereign with recognized control of those waters. Moreover it has properly announced a naval blockade which NATO is certainly aware of. Running that blockade would be recognized as an act of war by Turkey against Israel. Are Gaza waters Israel waters?

Note though that in the remote possibility that Turkey starts a war with Israel by attempting to run the naval blockade that NATO is not obliged to help. NATO kicks in only when a NATO member is attacked. Turkey is proposing to be the aggressor here and so could not expect NATO help if Israel sinks their ship.
Nope. Running the blockade would be an act of war by Turkey against Israel. NATO has no obligation to help Turkey attack other countries. NATO is a defensive alliance. If Turkey brings an aid ship to Gaza and is attacked by Israel NATO would be compelled to come to their defence.
The UN called the blockade illegal.Nope. Running the blockade would be an act of war by Turkey against Israel. NATO has no obligation to help Turkey attack other countries. NATO is a defensive alliance.
The UN has not called either the blockade or the occupation illegal. If these things happen ...
OH LOOK!!The UN called the blockade illegal.

You will learn they were illegal when Netanyahu is called to trial at the ICC.
Lose you meds again?OH LOOK!!
As predicted here you are again pretending Falk is the UN. YOU PATHETIC TROLL.
They won't have to.One would hope that Israel would be too smart to attack a NATO ship delivering aid........
No they don't you pathetic lying troll, OHCHR is explicit and authoritative when it says that he is independent. He does not speak for the UN, and OHCHR posts it for reference not as an endorsement. It says right on the page you are quoting that he is completely independent. The UN rapporteur on Israel is the one who investigates.
His findings represent the UN's findings.
