So ladies and gentlemen its been awhile since I've been in Toronto, I'm wondering if what are the new hotspots with restaurants and lounges. You can only take yelps advice. Some Species friendly if I brought a date as well.

The Dixon Road area, between Kipling and Islington is pretty hopping these days.

Kira, if you are downtown these are the options:
1. King West (around the King/Spadina area)
2. Queen West (east of Ossington)
3. Esplande (around the Sony Centre)
4. Little Italy (along College)
5. Dundas Square (Yonge/Dundas)

I would agree with this list; maybe if you're in your 20s, add Ossington between Queen and Dundas.

LOL... Kira did mention she wanted hot spots and she is downtown. Besides the age range is from late 20's to mid 40's in most of these areas. Its good mix on from Thursday to Sunday.
