Lord willing if you are well off then dont tell her to abort a life inside her which is a sin. After the birth paternity test can be conducted, and you both would know the result, if you are the father of that child then full-fill your responsibilities & if you are not then its your goodluck too.
Hope being a well off man, you can bear this much of responsibility on your shoulders being a responsible gentleman. Goodluck.
Most of this board is covered in sin. Where did you think you were?

Not an escort, a girl I met on a weekend in Muskoka. Got drunk, she slid on top of me for like two minutes and "bang you're a daddy"

She's pregnant and now talking wistfully about keeping it. Fuck me.
Is it too late for Plan B?

lol! If she took the pregnancy test and knows she's preggo she can't use plan B. That only works up to 72 hrs after an assumed...well...*ahem* unprotected sex.

Yea, the buy out phase MAY come later. It could easily backfire on me. I believe I can work her using other angles well ahead of that, like the shame, no-one-knows-the-daddy angle.
Shame, maybe!?

But once there is a paternity test, the "no-one-knows-the-daddy angle" is out.

Mao,

You don't say how old she is. Her age and maturity level are definitely going to have a bearing on the decisions she makes. Soooo ..is she still a teen, is she in her 20s, does she have anything else going on in her life?

You're missing the point: There won't be a paternity test for nine months if I have my way, which gives her a few weeks of tension to think of the ramifications of telling everyone she's gonna have a baby with "X" as the Daddy.

She's 32, but is very naive, prone to persuasion (unfortunately not mine, lol). I strongly think she is considering having the baby to prove that she can do it, since she didn't have a Daddy. (I know, fucking annoying, basically replaying the same script she had. Sigh)

Prenatal Sample Collection
There are two prenatal sample collection methods that can be performed depending on the mother’s stage of pregnancy:

Chorionic Villi Sampling (CVS)
CVS is performed during the 10th through the 13th week of pregnancy. Cells are taken from the placenta, a membrane that surrounds the developing fetus. Depending on the baby’s position in the womb, the OB-GYN may use a catheter through the vagina or a long, hollow needle through the abdomen.

Amniocentesis
Amniocentesis is performed during the 14th through the 24th week of pregnancy. This procedure collects loose cells that the baby sheds into the surrounding amniotic fluid during development. A long needle is used to collect fluid through the abdomen.

Again, not needed. Newer test now, non-invasive.

32  Sorry to the rest of my gender who may disagree but this is reprehensible. She's not a kid and this isn't 'omigod, I made a mistake.' You have a big problem Mao and very little time to have the outcome go your way. As Redleg urged, see a lawyer asap!! You also haven't said if this was a month ago, two months ago but whatever, within a very short time it's going to be easy for her to say, "fuck it, I'm 32, I'm having this child and it's too late for an abortion anyway."

No, she's quite early. I have time. That said, I ain't sitting on my hands, believe me. I'll make this go my way. She is now the enemy and casually fucking with my future. It's situations like this that make men HATE women, but maybe you all can level me out.

Ok, lawyer advice.

She cannot force you to have a paternity test until the child is born and she goes to court to collect child support. Then the judge will make you submit to a test if you deny paternity.

It's her decision 100% if she wants to have the child. If she does and it's yours, you have to pay child support. The child comes first in the eyes of the law.

Going to court to collect child support is fairly cheap, quick and simple in legal terms. If it's yours, there is no defence and the judge will be all over you. The whole process is somewhat user-friendly and she may well not even bother to use a lawyer.

Gotta be careful when you play, MTT. I apologize for being smug and a smart-ass, but it's pretty basic.

If it turns out the kid is not yours then congrats your off the hook. On the other hand if the child is yours then be a man and be a father to your child. Should this be your child then using available means involve yourself with the child, nurture and guide that person along in life. You say you are successful and well off thus intelligent and industrious so why are you acting like a jerk in this discussion? Raise your kid properly and not make us taxpayers have to pay because your a rich guy and chose to walk away.
