I love those sink strainers!
I buy them in bulk at the dollar store and switch them out regularly.
A client first introduced me to them.

Beyond catching debris they're also handy for keeping rings out of drains... I installed them in the sinks in an old age home where I have some elderly relatives. (You can get them for most drain sizes.) I really should get a set for my place.
