Panzers was the best home prepared pastrami for years before selling out (they were on bathurst), now the sandwiches there are prepared by a rude prick with bad breath and BO. Wolfies on Sheppard are good.
Yes, I was told that the old Pancers was sold to Filipinos. Not quite the same. (A guy told me the old owner, who I believe is gone now, was a Concentration Camp survivor, and had a stamp on his forearm).

However, there's another one in Vaughan, and I found the link.

I think I've heard of Wolfies but haven't been.

I believe Moe Pancer's son opened the Thornhill location, but I have never been there. The 2 original meat cutters and wait staff worked the original location for 30 plus years. It was a great place.

It's been said that vegan/vegetarian protesting is a first world luxury.

These people should be forced to spend years living in many countries in the third world where eating meat is not only culturally acceptable but a necessity for life.

What vegan's don't understand is that humans have the same digestive system as bears. We need animal protein to stay healthy, to say a vegan diet is healthier is kaka. Vegiterians suffer from bone degenerative aliments as they age. And like a bear when I fry fish I keep the head on - better flavour.

I've been to the Center St Deli, it's ok. It won't divert me from Yitz's, Caplansky's or The Musket. I was going to check out Pancer's but after DB123 poo pooed it I'll give it a miss.

Say hello to Unigirl:

I missed that. One of our suppliers who is Jewish (he was in the IDF way back) told me about that old guy Moe. I should've gone when I had the chance to see a legend.

Go to the one in Thornhill. Like Alfonzo siad, it's owned by the original owner's son (I believe he had to wait a few years for a non-comp clause to expire).

Hmmm. I'm gonna have to try Caplansky's. That Unigirl is hot too.
