Odom is currently being treated as the victim of an overdose, though details revealed about the former NBA star’s condition reveal it’s not the only problem. He possibly suffered a stroke while unconscious and likely incurred brain damage.

“He was doing crack cocaine all weekend and he choked on his mucus,” E!’s source said. “They’re now having to fix all the damage it has done.”


Odom reportedly suffered from an ischemic stroke, which is caused by blockage in a blood vessel resulting in a lack of oxygen to the brain. It is the most common type of stroke and, according to the National Institutes of Health, can be associated with cocaine use.

The situation probably wasn’t helped by Odom’s size.

Ischemic stroke can definitely be caused by a cocaine overdose.

Cocaine has the effect of constricting blood vessels.

Unless the divorce is final, she inherits, if he is intestate. No wonder she's showing up at his bedside.

They both signed the papers though, it's not finalized yet. My point is that there are legal arguments to be made on his children's side. I'm guessing that she is hoping that he's brain dead so she can pull the plug ASAP.

But then his kids will try to have him on machines as long as possible til everything is finalized.

Apparently he's awake now. Khloe will have to hold off on that jackpot and "ride off" into the sunset with James Harden now.
