The Raps start the 2015 NBA playoffs in their series vs Washington.
I am hoping the Raps score first points of game/series/2015 playoffs.
I got some excitement going, some trepidation, confidence one moment, worry the next.

Just start the damn game !





Predictions ... to calm one's nerves

Toronto vs Washington . Raptors in six.(but in the end, as long as the Raps win)
Golden State vs New Orleans . Warriors in four.
Chicago vs Milwaukee . Bulls in five.
Houston vs Dallas . Rockets in six.
Cleveland vs Boston . Cavs in five.
Atlanta vs Brooklyn . Hawks in five.
Memphis vs Portland . Blazers in six.
Los Angeles C vs San Antonio . Spurs in six.

Did not work ... in fact now I am worse.
Aw damn, four more hours !

If the Raptors lose in the first round again, I can't see them bringing back Casey next year. The expectations for this year were to win one series and get to the second round, another first round exit would be a major disappointment.

Every year there are teams that do well in the regular season, and do nothing in playoffs. In the NBA this year, I see teams like the Raptors and Clippers in that boat. Wizards in six, sorry Toronto.

Did anyone watch that 4th quarter collapse by the Clippers last night? Up by 19 with 3 minutes left in 3rd quarter and Houston's best player Harden out of the game after shooting 5 for 19, you thought it was a done deal and Clippers would be on the way to the conference final. But no. In a collapse reminiscent of the Leafs v Bruins, the Clippers were outscored 40-15! in the final quarter. Just shocking. Now they have to travel to Houston to win game 7.

Pleasant surprise! I have a 4-team series betting parlay going with the Cavs, Hawks, Warriors and Rockets all winning their series, I thought I lost the bet after game 4 in the Rockets-Clippers series, thought that series was over and now we're going to game 7, baby! Go Rockets.

But I'm also not sure if the Hawks can close out the Wizards though, with John Wall back.

The finals Golden State vs. Cleveland

My prediction. Lebron is on a mission. He is showing why he (and many others) think he should have been named MVP over Curry. I love the Warriors but I think the Cavs are going to pull off the upset. Cleveland in 6 games.

Its going to be an interesting series.
Kyrie Irving is going to have to outplay Steph Curry for Cleveland to have a chance.
Two key matchups in Lebron/Andre Iguodala, and Thompson/Green. Iguodala defends Lebron better than any other play in the league aside from Kawhi Leonard. Lebron will not get alot of double teams.
Thompson needs to dominate the offensive glass, like he did against the Hawks, because Cleveland needs to have more possessions than Golden State, because they aren't going to win the offensive efficiency battle. I have a feeling that he won't dominate the way he did against Atlanta, because Draymond Green will lure him out to the 3pt line, and Lebron will not be getting into the paint as much.

X-factor for Cleveland is JR Smith. A really streaky shooter.
X-factor for Golden State is Andre Iguodala. If he can defend Lebron without help, then Cleveland is in deep trouble.

I think this might go the distance, 7 games, but gotta go with the Warriors because of the home court advantage and the fact that Kyrie is not 100%.

Wouldn't be surprised if it goes 7, Cavs might employ the Hack-A-Iguodala and win ugly at home. Game 7 would be fun, but no way GSW loses a game 7 on their home floor, right? Or is there.....?

The Raptors need a new front court, or the same thing will happen. Win a lot of meaningless game in regular season, and get bounced early in the playoffs.

LBJ should have won the MVP... i have a feeling if they pushed the series to 7, the MVP would have gone to Lebron, no question.....that being said, Iggy would have been my 2nd choice...did all the litle things out on the court and held down LBJ defensively
