Democrats love their guns?? Am I the only one to say no.

Democrats are a melting pot of different views. Some people in the melting pot do not like guns and some do. I know many democrats that hunt and others who just like to go out to the shooting range with their guns and shoot. Many with these AR15 type rifles.

I have lived down here for over 25 years and never owned a gun and I personally do not believe in guns. Everywhere I have lived in the US, Sacramento, Reno, Washington DC, Northern VA, Philly & Charlotte, I am one of the few people in my neighborhood who does not own a gun. I know when I came down with my Canadian values on this topic I realized guns are very popular down here. It is something that is part of the culture in the US and will not change.

I have voted both Republican and Democrat. I personally don't like guns but I know the culture down here, US, and know the perception only republicans like guns is incorrect.

What I never really understood with these situations is why does a 14 year kid think going into a school and shooting up the place is an answer to any of his problems? Yes there is a gun problem and folks can argue about legislating it... but IMO the larger issue is what is making these young kids go into such a dark place to come up with this kind of action or reaction.

Not strange for a teen to have dark thoughts. Supports are needed, not parents who buy them guns.

Compared to Canadians? Yes. Compared to Reps? No.

Plenty of Canadians love their guns. Thankfully most Canadians see them as a tool for hunting or part of a well regulated hobby and not constantly panicking about self defense.
