Wolfgang Strutzenberger.

I knew a kid with this name in high school.

I'm sure he's a pedophile now, or has some other mental deviation because of all the teasing he took.

Making fun of people with foreign sounding names is really not nice. That is why many Jewish people also give their kids an "Anglo" name. (No, I am not Jewish.)

What I find a bit bizarre are fathers who name their son the same as themselves. Here is an example.

Grandfather is "John Doe"
Father is also "John Doe"
Son is also "John Doe"

I saw this often in the U.S.:

Father is John Smith Sr.
Son is John Smith Jr.

Sometimes I also met people whose biz cards said "John Smith III" (so grandfather, father, and son are all John) and once even "John Smith IV" (even great grandfather was a John (pardon the pun).

I'm not making fun of him, nor did I ever tease him, but he was teased unmercifully by others because of his name, all through public and high school.

When we were in high school, there was this guy in the phonebook with the name Batman. We would call him up and ask to speak to Robin.:D

Sometimes it's a stupid combination of first and last name. I knew an "Al Goodall".

We used to call him the "Good Al Goodall".

Weren't we clever kids to figure that one out.

Shoot, I have a good one but I can't say it because he is a real person. He has a last name that is completely inappropriate for his profession. Can you guys think of any names that would be inappropriate for their profession? How about Carlos Bender as an auto shop bodyman (I made that one up)? How about Dick Short as a male porn star?
