I used to live right around the corner from there I remember the strip club and steak house.
i forgot the name of the guy that owned the original Jerry,s Place...he sold it to a guy named Johnny and it got renamed the Kipling Steak House and Tavern...a few years later Johnny was shot and killed in his bar, during a robbery attempt...the place was never the same after that..........

Brunswick House. Use to go there often with school buddies.
I met a Jamaican guy in there. Very personable fella. He had a Charlie Harper method of genius. Rented a bed sit room across the street on a monthly basis. Kept a change of clothes there and a toothbrush and ablutions kit. Would bring pick ups there from the bar. Had a wife at home so this worked for him.

LOL great loud place.
I remember one time I was just looking across the room and a woman who had a bit too many drinks stumbled and starting falling down and the guy behind her grabbed her before she hit the floor but pulled up her top and bared her nice set of breasts to all. From her reaction she thought nothing about what happened or didn’t realize what happened.

Name escapes me.
But it was an all night diner place in Etobicoke on the Queensway between Islington and 427 maybe near Kipling.
Not really drinks at but food at 2am after the night out at the bar, on the way home.

As three shift factories in the area closed and things like movie theaters popped up its time had come and I think it has closed.

Didn't it seem like there was an O'Tooles everywhere at some point?
I went The o tools at Dufferin and Lawrence And my friend ended up getting a beer bottle in the face by accident because majority of the people were beyond wasted and crowding the dance floor. My fav bar was in south Miami called fire and ice where we could get 50 cent liquor drinks all night long lmao every night was ladies night lol

The Islington House on Dundas near Kipling
A strip joint on Kipling just north of the Queensway called Jerry,s Place..later named the Kipling Steak House and Tavern
so many others..so many memories
The I (Islington House) was where I got my first underage drink.
The Kipling Steak House and Tavern was where I first heard Chris de Burgh "Patricia the Stripper".
so many memories

Also a real dive strip place on Evans east of 427/Browns Line that changed names a few times.

And Mathesons, also a peeler spot on Matheson between Dixie and Tomken that is now an islamic centre of some sort.

And a small peeler spot in the basement of the same mall on west side of Dixie south of Matheson in same plaza where Hitch City is today.
