NRA and Wayne LaPierre Found Liable for Financial Misconduct - The New York Times (nytimes.com)

In a sweeping rebuke of the National Rifle Association, the nation’s most prominent gun rights group, a Manhattan jury ruled on Friday that its leaders had engaged in a yearslong pattern of financial misconduct and corruption.

The jury, after a week of deliberations, found that the group’s former leader, Wayne LaPierre, had used N.R.A. funds to pay for personal expenses, including vacations, luxury flights for his relatives and yacht rides, and that two other top executives had failed in their duties to the nonprofit organization.

Another crooked jury. Mitchy should be here soon with his incisive legal analysis. I can hardly wait.

Why is this even a story hound dog? CEOs do this all the time.

Imagine letting nazis be lobbyists.

Because the NRA is a powerful voice. Or at least, used to be.

I think that the NYT is quite experienced in determining what is newsworthy or not. What are your credentials other than being a knuckledragger?

Since you are an expert in these matters, what do you think the punishment will be?

You're maniacally obsessed. Stay on topic instead of being a Nazi. Remember that Israel is winning on the battlefield, in the courts and in the halls of power. Not one single solitary prediction of yours has come true. Your predictions are as relevant as when Sinwar farts in a sandstorm. Oh yeah. He's in a tunnel like a vermin, germ laden rat. There's no wind down there.

No go back to a thread on the Middle East to spread your hate. This has nothing to do with your terrorist Hamas. You're interrupting the adults.

So farting in a sandstorm is irrelevant?

Frankie posts 60 or 70 times a day in every thread how much he hates Israel. I blocked him weeks ago.

What, I thought this was a thread about evil lobbyists and destroying their organizations?

I blocked him a year ago but that does not change his hijacking.
I blocked the entire team hamas but I still look from time to time. It’s like looking at a rat. Disgusting yet entertaining.

He blended in when he was in the anti Trump threads. But he's obsessive about Palestine and - unlike Kauty and Klatty - he doesn't just post in the Israel threads, he post everywhere and derails any thread he can get into.

And it's always the same: Just a series of rants and stereotypes he has learned about "settler colonialism", "racism", etc. and insults. Total waste of time.

The NYT is a dying left wing newspaper. I don't think there should be any punishment. CEOs do this all the time. Heck even our blackface wearing PM does.

That the NYT has some shitty instincts about what is newsworthy or not isn't something that should be ignored.
It makes its judgment calls and people can agree or disagree about that.

In this case, the further fall of what has been a major political force for years seems a perfectly normal thing to report on.

The general support for financial misconduct and corruption on the board really has been surprising.
This is just more of the legacy of the former sexual assaulter, fraudster in chief. Everyone does it so it must be ok. Why go after white collar fraudsters who make millions but still have to steal from their organizations or companies when you go after trans people or people who want to reach about the history of slavery.

Slavery? Been abolished for about 150 years my man. There has to be a statute of limitations at some point.
