Whatever the results of the election on Tuesday, Trump’s plush ass is about to get fucked .

......J Low is a toxic skank, she's always been that. She helped Puffy get out of a shooting incident in a NY nightclub. She conducts herself as the Queen of all Latinos yet she's nothing more than a second class female Salieri.
Wow, Salieri. Haven't thought about him in a couple centuries.

Trump’s appeal and.support indicates the extent of America’s decline. It is much more the show than the showman in this case
MAGA supporters will be bewildered and confused when Trump is one day gone.
America's decline is what created Trump's supporters.

It is Darwinism this decline and decay and Trump is their last greater hope but he will not be around long enough to do what he promises to do like building the wall.
The MAGA cabal are not capable of restoring America as the world has changed.
America’s Treasury owes almost a trillion dollars to China in Tbills for one thing.
Trump is just a carnival barker and a successful one at that obviously.

This is silly rhetoric. Someone who despises American success or worse Western capitalism in totality periodically pops their head up to announce the decline of America.

- Russia is bogged down fighting a country with a military a tenth its size. Its economy...ehhh.
- China's economy is looking over the abyss as its Central Planners desperately try to resuscitate its economy. It is likely in a midst of a lost decade.
Yes, we have a couple of China champions floating around TERB. Not only does that dog don't hunt no more, I think it's literally dead.
- Europe is stagnating both economically and existentially in it's current form.

So where's the vigor and energy outside of America?

As I mentioned before, political debate is healthy not the other way around. Personally, I like when the Democrats and Republican are representing traditional class interests. Democrats are generally dovish and Republicans are generally hawkish. Perhaps there's something at work with U.S. political realignment that we are yet to understand.

America can no longer tell their banker China what to do.
As long as the U$D remains the Reserve Currency and America can print money ( quantitative easing) then yes America will look better than most places around the globe.
Domestically America is already in a sort of Civil War, divided against itself and may implode or fragment.

If the Democrats win control of the House this year or 2026, there will be endless committee investigations maybe a showy impeachment for television. Progressives will demand such.
All the signs are there.
I don't think so, actually. Not the impeachment.
There will be committee investigations of course.
That's pretty straight forward.

Impeachment, though? I am sure there will be some demands for it, but I doubt very much there will be any real push.
There is no point - it's been shown to be dead letter law.
The only impeachment trial to get bipartisan support in the Senate still didn't return a conviction.

No impeachment is likely to ever be tried again unless the party doing the impeaching controls the 2/3 necessary to win the vote in the Senate or is SO close to it that they might manage a defection.
I can't see anyone trying impeachment again without having 65 votes and the Democrats are unlikely to ever have that for a generation or more.

Sure, Trump makes a lot of people uncomfortable. One of the amazing things is that Trump's political career has coincided with much higher election participation. This is also reflected in U.S. midterm elections when he is not on the ballot.
He didn't juice turnout in 2016 very much, although the mix of voters was different.
It's since then that voter turnout went up.

It's safe to say some people are motivated to vote against him and some are motivated to vote in support of him.

Having elections where people have clear choices and are compelled to vote isn't all bad.
It isn't ALL bad, I agree.
Depends a lot on the choices involved.

And let me guess. It's still Trump's fault.

Whether it is intentional or not, your description of the Jean Carroll decision is trying to graft criminal language on a civil matter. Words matter because the law tells us more about the nature and gravity of the decision than you allow.

Nine jurors found him liable of sexual abuse (not assault). The jury only needed to find a preponderance of liability. As is commonly required in U.S. and Canada criminal law, the jury did not find him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt on any matter.
You're not usually one to play these kinds of word games, Wyatt.

I wouldn't have expected you to try the "no one can be raped in Canada" defense of all this.

You know very well that sexual abuse is a sexual assault crime in New York.
There is NO crime called "sexual assault" - instead all the various forms of sexual assault are their own crime. (Rape, sexual abuse, etc.)

Fine about the civil vs criminal, but playing word games about "it was abuse, not assault" is beneath you.

That was just a Judge's opinion that Carroll could publicly use that word. You can hang your hat on that, but it doesn't make it fact. Going down the path of Judge's having the last word is a blind alley. Judge's are overturned all the time because in fact they simply issue opinions.

It gets real muddy because the jury considered rape and did not not find Trump liable. Initially, Jean Carroll said on CNN she chose not to use the word rape. By the way, whenever I have heard Harris bring up this case she uses the phrase sexual abuse not rape. Since she is a former prosecutor, I'm guessing it's because she knows the distinction.
It's not remotely muddy.
In fact, what Trump was found liable for would now under New York law be called rape.
It is only because the previous definition was so narrow it wasn't.
The judge, when he dismissed the defamation case by Trump, was just pointing out that what he was found liable for was called "rape" in numerous jurisdictions (including new york now) and so his argument that he wasn't found liable that he was defamed didn't hold.

Again, that would be like someone suing for defamation about being called a rapist in Canada because there is no crime called rape here.

Is as disgusting as OJ suing the Goldmans for calling him a murderer

I will disagree. I think that when the State of New York set it up the legal definitions that way because of the new law to allow civil suits for indefinite periods of time. Rape as a NY State crime still has a statute of limitation.

When men come to TERB to argue about Trump the rapist they generally run into two realities you and I can't change.

First, the TERB membership isn't really all that sympathetic to "MeToo" or "Believe Her".

Second, the American public taken as a whole don't seem to be all that impressed with the 1995 incident.

Maybe the third reality is Harris' own choice of words.

Great analogy conflating a he said/she said encounter in a dept. store with slashing necks with a knife.

No one should be tried in the U.S. and Canada for incidents where there are no witnesses and the victim can't even offer a date when the incident took place. It was pretty clear when Nicole and Ron Goldman were murdered violently.

If you say other State's would call it rape, doesn't that enter the issue that many State's have statute of limitations on rape and sexual assault.

That's why it's muddy. It's far from a normal legal case. This is how NY State chose to change the law initially. Then I think they did the law a disservice by highlighting the Trump-Carroll case when they changed the definition of rape. When politicians make a showy stand like this, politics are being served. I would go farther to say IMHO that NY State will likely return to statutes of limitation for civil cases.
