Space X has received $18.9 in subsidies from NASA and a further $8.3 billion from the Pentagon. They are also in line to construct a vehicle to take the International Space Station out of orbit once it's operational life ends in 2030. Space X engineers have a restraining order against President Musk to prevent him from interfering with their work...but I can't verify it.
Not really. There is always waste and quirks in government contracts. Always will be. There are regular audit reports that are routinely done in the normal course that report this.
There's waste in large corporate finances as well. The larger the entity, the more waste slips through.
Musk will try to fire most of NASA so that SpaceX can take over all of those contracts.
Meanwhile China is planning on building a solar array in space that will send back the equivalent of 100 million barrels of oil in solar energy through microwaves.
More energy than all of the oil$gas industry.

The searches coincided with DOGE's efforts to neuter USAID's funding of NGOs that propped up a shadow government, as well as begin cutting tens of thousands of workers from various federal agencies.

We also aren't sure if Elon is obeying any of the court orders.
There is at least one case where they have gone back to the judge to complain that Musk is ignoring the court order.
So we quite frankly don't know what Musk and his gang have gotten access to or what changes to the code he's put in in various places.
And since they've made repeated moves to evade transparency (moving to communication systems that aren't subject to FOIA and then by having Trump move DOGE from a Federal Records Act entity to a Presidential Records Act entity, which means that Trump ultimately gets to decide which DOGE records will be destroyed and which will be preserved and no FOIA is allowed until five years after the end of the current Trump administration) it is pretty clear they want to be unaccountable.
There are people pushing back, though.

I'm actually thinking musk is more antisocial personality disordered, not on the spectrum. My experience w aspergers and those on the spectrum is they tend to be almost too honest, and socially awkward because of that. Pumping out so much as is not a spectrum thing. It's a ASPD thing though.
