uncovering wasteful , fraud is a fraud ??????
He's not, though.
Haven't you been paying attention?

you really do not like to see truth do you?
I'm quite big on it.
You seem the one to be burying your head in the sand over the repeated lies and fraud DOGE has been putting out.
They've had to revise their "wall of receipts" numerous times because they keep getting caught lying.

explain how in your strange world how Musk is making $ 37 trillion in govt debt worse?
He costs quite a bit of money and so far is mostly not finding savings but just lying about what he's doing.
His illegal actions look like they are going to cost the government quite a bit in legal fees and compensatory damages and back pay and so on.

If debt and waste and fraud was something you actually cared about, you would be the most anti-Musk/anti-DOGE person on this board.

He costs quite a bit of money
zero compensation

this pure 100% speculation on your part

do not be ridiculous
who is going to sue the govt
the transgender queer in Guatemala ?
the serbian nationals who were not able to pocket DEI money or
the environment NGOs that now need alternative funding for their climate propaganda

If debt and waste and fraud was something you actually cared about, you would be the most anti-Musk/anti-DOGE person on this board.
look
this is an audit,
an audit which is long overdue.

The US federal budget for fiscal year 2024 ran from October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024. The federal government spent $6.9 trillion in 2024, which was 24% of the country's GDP. The federal budget deficit for 2024 was $1.83 trillion.

if you think it truly costs 6.9 trillion dollars to run a government , you are a bullshit artist , too afraid to be honest with yourself

you are on the wrong side of the fence on this issue

I love how pointing out the proved fact that the USDS has been lying about their "savings" on their website is me wanting "to justify the wasteful spending".
It really is some kind of religious fetish with you, it's kind of hilarious. (I know I shouldn't harsh someone's kink, but it is so goofy.)

Are you under the impression there is no staff?
Good lord, you're thick.

this pure 100% speculation on your part
Not remotely speculation.
You have to be wilfully avoiding the truth at this point.
Which, again, is proper religious behaviour. (The apocryphal refusal to look though the telescope.)

His illegal actions look like they are going to cost the government quite a bit in legal fees and compensatory damages and back pay and so on.

No, the Americans he is acting against illegally.
Now, if they succeed in full authoritarian takeover, they obviously won't face any of those consequences.
One of the advantages of unchecked authoritarian power is that the law doesn't apply to you. (And the previous system simply won't exist.)
So obviously there is no guarantee he will end up costing that much in lawsuits and criminal action.

look
this is an audit,
an audit which is long overdue.
You know very well it isn't an audit and isn't being conducted like an audit.
They aren't even pretending it is an audit anymore. They've openly taken to calling it "wrongful spending" and not fraud.
It's just ideology.

you are on the wrong side of the fence on this issue
We will always disagree about this.
I don't support illegal action for my ideological goals the way you do.
I also don't support "look, all the fraud and corruption is perfectly fine as long as in the end it serves my ideology" like you do.
Your ideological blinders are very strong (as we've discussed before), and I don't really expect you to ever take them off.

There are videos of these bums crying as they leave their jobs that they do nothing in. The thought of going into a demanding private sector job. The fear is intoxicating.

At least you are consistent in getting off on the cruelty.

But we are talking about Musk's lies about the USDS and what it is doing.
(I am sure you are very excited about the new Republican budget vote, though.)

Cruelty? Using example of the young Karen I saw crying on an X video who had to leave their accountant job lol. They get paid 40k to barely work at their govt job. They can go earn 60k at a big 4 doing lots of work. What’s cruel about that.

private sectors downsize and do mass layoffs because they can't sustain...do you complain about it?
the US is trillions in debt... they gave them 8months pay that's a damn good deal....
all i'm really seeing are liberals tears because it's Trump and Musk...

But Elon isn't their boss.
He's not even the boss of DOGE, according to the law.
(The Trump Administration named some woman who is on vacation in Mexico as the person in charge to act as a fall gal for Elon.)

So it was just an email from some rando who isn't your boss.
Also, the email it was sent from has an official "no one is ever required to respond to an email from here" policy.

NO ! you do not get to ring fence the discussion to avoid the real underlying problem

excited ?
what is wrong with you ?

i know what will happen if governments do not address their debt and it will be a nightmare for everyone
how you can ignore this reality is just plain strange

Depends on when, where, and how.

But I'm not commenting on the concept of downsizing.
I'm pointing out PeterParker1000's cruelty and glee in the suffering of others.
That along with his almost comically insecure masculinity is really making him a poster child for Eco's description of Ur-Fascism.

the US is trillions in debt... they gave them 8months pay that's a damn good deal....
Evidence of this "8 months pay" you think they gave them?

Of course.
That's what they want you to see and that's what you've been programmed to see.
You are not going to let go of that reed unless you absolutely have to.

I believe that "liberal rag" the Wall St journal even did a tally on Musk's claims of savings and settled on $2.6b, not 55 something billion or whatever the initial boast was. BTW I think NPR also did their own analysis and pretty much agreed with the WSJ.
