There are many annoying TV commercials. Insurance companies, personal injury lawyers, long term disability lawyers etc.
I change the channel some times. Between them and annoying telemarketers, one gets no peace and quiet during pandemic
lockdown.

Sigh!!!

I can't stand her. Also that she obviously inherited the company from Daddy. She's right up there with Russell Oliver and Harold the Mortgage Guy. I switch channels when all three of these people come on.

I stream all my shows and movies. So for CNN, they have about 6/7 commercials they run through. Watching a one hour show, is seeing these same commercials 5-6 times. Plus the volume of some get so loud.

On StackTV, it is only one commercial so that is not bad.

CTV has some annoying ones.

I have learned that what is stream lived is not quite the same. They have different commercials for streaming vrs Cable.

RUSSELL FUCKING OLIVER and the other one HAROLD THE MORTGAGE BUYER !!!!!! I'm beginning to think the only Lawyers in Toronto are Disability Lawyers. ''You don't pay unless we win'' Then fork over 40% of the settlement.
This reminds me of Julia Roberts playing the part of Erin Brockovich in the movie of the same same name. When Erin wanted the town to launch a class action lawsuit against Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E), she brought a lawyer to address the crowd. He said the same thing - if I win I/we win I will take 40%. The crowd was not impressed. They were wondering - who is this guy who suddenly appeared at the smell of money? Erin noticed he was not getting a warm reception, so she explained "this 'joker' is working on a contingency basis. If he loses the case, he still has to pay his costs, even if he was not wronged by PG&E." Thus he was putting all of his skin in the game. This is what persuaded the crowd to hire him.

Otherwise, I record the few shows I watch, and this allows me to fast forward past the commercials. If it's a show that you watch on the regular, you soon get a sense of where the commercials are and their length.

Also, I remember hearing many years ago, that commercials that are stupid or silly work better than ones that are not. D'oh!

''Someone just got her period'' The one in the bathroom 2 females talking about tampon sizes etc. It must run every 5 minutes during the dinner hour. Then theres the one about the 'menstrual ''gush'' when the woman stands up. Maybe they should run one about a guy taking a viagara after he cant get it up. ''Here dear take this it will put lead in your pencil''!

That tampon one is so creepy.
Why does the strange chubby lady say “niceeee!” like that when the kid says “a super for tomorrow”?

The one for Canada Protection Plan with the annoying bass vocal guy and the animation so bad that it makes Rocket Robin Hood look like Disney. I can't get to the mute fast enough.
Also the yogurt commercial with the tone-deaf singer . "You can knock me off my feet!" _. I don't believe in violence but I WANT to knock her off her feet.
CHIP - if you have equity in your home, get a line of credit. I can't believe those scams are legal.
Harold the Jeweler/Mortgage Broker/stereotype reinforcer doesn't so much annoy me as he makes me incredulous that such commercials exist in 2020.

I hate those commercials for Shriner's Hospital with all those disabled kids. I know it is a good cause but there are so many of them they wear you down. As well, I wonder how much of the donations are spent on these ads. It's gotta be a fortune. Not only are they aired so frequently but I think that they are 2 minutes long.

And some of these kids have been doing it so long they seem like professional hucksters. Especially that one kid who must be 20 already telling us that if we donate now they will send us "this adorable blanket". So syrupy.

BTW, I also hate the ones for the ASPCA (I know, another good cause). The frequency and sad music are annoying. I also hate the hypocrisy when they tell us how these animals are on the brink of dying and need our help immediately, yet somehow they still have the time to film these animals shivering in cages before they bother to remove them from their situation. I wonder how many takes they need. They also must spend a fortune.
