I think the Vikes lost out in that deal.......big time.
You dont let a talent like Moss's leave your team unless you'll receive a player of equal impact.

Good luck Minni

Moss was obviously not liked by his teammates. It had to have been a disruptive situation with him there.

Even though they didn't get equal talent in return it may very well turn into a case of "addition by subtraction". Getting rid of him will probably allow them to play more like a team. As others have said, no one man makes a team, but one man can surely mess up a team.

I wouldn't be surprised if he wears out his welcome in Oakland in short order. He's an idiot.

my 2¢

After putting more thought on this deal, I don't think Minnesota did too bad. Sure Moss is one of the top 2 receivers in the L, but the Vikes have been traditionally soft on defense and need upgrading in that dep't to go anywhere in the playoffs. Napolean Harris should help them improve on rush defense and let's remember, 7th pick is pretty good for the NFL draft. It's fairly easy to pick up a future star player at that high a pick provided you have a half decent scouting staff. The Vikes might not score as many points next year, but they might actually be a better overall team in the long run because of this trade.

To be fair, traded isn`t really being "busted" off the team. But Oakland, come
on, Raiders? How long before Moss beams into cameras being released from
the local constabulary.

Also, people bemoaning the fact that the Vikings only got a good young linebacker and a 7th overall pick, should remember that Moss was drafted with the 21st pick overall.

Roy Williams, Byron Leftwich and Champ Bailey are also players who were taken with the number 7 pick recently. There is value at that spot in the NFL draft.

The Vikings offense will be fine. They need to improve defensively. Now they have a chance to.

Vikings had done nothing with Moss. Watch and see, they'll be as good or better without him next year.

I doubt that very much. This is a team that has been cursed and always find a way to dump season after they start 6-0. Now without a legit deep threat to keep defenses honest I think it's going to be a long season for the Vikes.
Culpeper will put up decent numbers next season but they wont win very much and certainly not against quality teams...
