Both espn and cnn are reporting that a deal has been struck to send Randy Moss to Oakland for the 7th pick overall in this yrs draft and LB Napolean Harris, he should fit right in with the raiders.

Jesus, that's not a lot to get for Randy Moss. Guess the Vikes really wanted to get rid of him bad.

The value of players in the NFL isn't as much as other league, esp. the NHL.

The way the value of NHL'ers is about to go, they'll be waving to the NFL'ers on the way down.

To an extent you're right with the cap and all, but still, wouldn't you expect more for Moss? I dunno. Seems like he must've been a real shit disturber and in need of trading.

Was Napolean Harris the guy who hyperflexed his knee at the beginning of the 1993 or 1994 season?

</that looked like it hurt>

No, that was another Napolean, happened on Monday Night Football if I recall.

I doubt Moss will be the answer to the Raider's woes. That team has never recovered from it's humiliating defeat in the Super Bowl a couple of years ago.

They must really have their eyes on someone in the draft to get rid of Moss for a 7th pick and a LB.
i have no idea who will be around by the 7th pick but i would bet Williams or Edwards the 2 best recievers in the draft wont make it that far. They have good recievers left with Burelson and Robinson who i wish the Bears would have never let go a few years ago. I think they will use the 7th pick for a cornerback or safety.

The Raiders traded away their best young linebacker and a 1st pick for Moss. Moss is a great receiver, but as far as I'm concerned, it's a dumb deal for the Raiders.

The Raiders are stacked with good young WR. The day before the trade, they signed Jerry Porter long term. They have two gifted and cheap young receivers in Doug Gabriel and Ronald Curry.

Now they've lost a quality player, a top draft pick and a ton of cap space.

Minnesota gets a good young linebacker (which they really need), a quality pick, plus they have decent receivers already. They also free up cap space, which is a precious commodity in the NFL.

Everybody says it was a steal for the Raiders, but I'm not so sure.

Typical Raider move though.

I would have to disagree, it is a great move for the Raiders. Talent wise Moss is second to none in the NFL. Debatable whether he is the best receiver in the NFL(owens and harrison).

Sadly my Chargers will have to defend against him twice a year now.

Moss is hugely talented but he proved in Minnesota that he alone can't lead a team to victory.
