Interesting coincidence or you've done your research. Any type of throat cancer generally involves radiation which severely damages the saliva glands. The "dry mouth" issue can last for years or be permanent.
Buck Martinez, Stanley Tucci and Michael Douglas all had throat cancer. Buck had his radiation therapy done at MD Anderson Hospital in Texas because they have advanced proton therapy, less likely to cause permanent damage including saliva glands and vocal chords, essential to Buck's livelihood.
Now there is no reporting that Buck had HPV variation of throat cancer so the correlation can't be confirmed. But if I were a baseball player on the road for years, I'd be enjoying a lot of pussy.
