It's because his followers will defend him to the bitter end. The Democrats are outraged, but there's nothing they can do because legally they can't touch him. Many of the cases against him are he said / she said, there is, therefore, no way to prosecute him with any reasonable expectation of winning. You need evidence to win and there's none.
The Democrats on the other hand subscribe to Chairman Mao justice. All it takes is an accusation or even a hint of improper behaviour and they are only all too happy to pull out the hammers and nails and crucify a guy. "Innocent until proven guilty" be damned. Witness Al Franken. Was the guy stupid? Yes. But the complaints against him were tame and such chickenshit that no district attorney cared. But the Democrats all howled with outraged and executed the guy without need of trial. The result is that a guy who would have made a good president is relegated to the political scrap heap and the Orange Turd will most likely be president in 2024.
The right wing will back rump through all his trials, bankruptcy and jail time. Which should make the 2024 election easier.

Opinions are never irrelevant, they will not sway the outcome but they they certainly give clues to the mindset of the person expressing them.
