Not until the Hab fans have finished crying in their poutine. :D
I think you can move on from the poutine material that you seem to have a fascination with. It gets sort of boring and pathetic, like the Leafs repeatedly missing the playoffs.

HAHAHA!

Centennial years have not been good for the HABS. On Canada's centennial year (1967) the Leafs beat the Habs to win the cup. The Habs had plan to show off the cup at expo in the summer of that year. 100 years of the HABS they are expected to win the cup but.... Whatever excuses you Habs fan can come with.

Heard that Quebecor is in the bidding to buy the HABs. Isn't Quebecor bankrupt:eek: ? How come the NHL keeps coming up with bankrupt and/or criminal owners? How many NHL owners (past and present) have spent time in prison?

He might have a point.

The habs were the worst team to qualify for the post season and the Caps were the presidents trophy winners.

Off the top of my head I can't think of a bigger upset.

Maybe dryden and co. ousting Orr and Espo in what was it 71 or 72 but thats not likely in his generation.

Biggest upset of ... please, give it a break. I seriously doubt even you believe that.

Although they finished first overall, knocking off Washington is one thing, the Penguins are a whole different animal.
Pittsburgh knows what it takes to get to the finals of course.
It would be nice to have a Canadian team advance in the East, but do not bet your life savings on Montreal doing to the Pens what they did to the Caps. It was clear that Washington did not want to pay the price, Pittsburgh will get dirty and then some.

Name a bigger upset flathead, just can not give another team credit. Get over the laffs and start to watch a real team play hockey.

Just as big an upset in the 2006 playoffs, when the 8th seeded Edmonton Oilers defeated the Presidents' Trophy Champion Detroit Red Wings.
28 points between the two teams, 33 this year.

In the 2000 playoffs, the 8th seeded San Jose Sharks defeated the Presidents' Trophy Champion St. Louis Blues. 26 points between the 2 teams.

This should be fun.

He's not crying, he's asking you too point out a bigger upset.

Can you? Yes or No.

Simple question really why don't you answer him?
'Point out a bigger upset' is the task.
First we must look at the original quote.

The BIGGEST UPSET of our Generation !!!
He said "Biggest upset" not biggest hockey upset, just biggest upset.

I watch a lot of sports and I am closing in on 50 years. I remember the Leafs winning in '67. Not that that is an upset, I was just saying.
I like hockey(#1), of course, followed by football, baseball, basketball, boxing, Olympics, skiing and several other sports. I even watch World Cup Soccer every four years. My friends tell me there have been some major upsets in that sport.

Now, do you want them in order of the dates in which they happened, by sport, separate pro and amateur ? Who is to judge whether the 'upsets' I post are bigger or not ?

Shit, I'm agreeing with Ironhead. (3rd sign of the Apocalypse) :D

The first upset that popped into my mind when I read that drivel, was the New York Giants over the New England Patriots just a few years ago.

That would be just as big an upset, if not bigger, and it wasn't in the 1st round of the playoffs, but for a championship.
