If the dispute between Cablevision and Fox is not resolved by midnight tonight, baseball fans in the Philadelphia and New York area might not get to watch the first game in the Major League Baseball's National League championship series.

Furthermore, baseball fans might miss out on the Phillies and Giants game Saturday night if the two companies cannot reach an agreement, reports the Associated Press.
You are saying the same thing twice.

Yankees and Texas go tonight in Arlington.

Cablevision says that Fox is making "outrageous fee demands" for the right to carry the signals of three cable channels and three TV stations in the Philadelphia and New York areas.

Fox recently rejected the binding arbitration with Cablevision to let a third party resolve the dispute, in which the third party would determine the rate.
Good thing I do not live in Philly or New York. lol

Unless you have Comcast, of course, which is a LARGE part of the Philly area cable coverage.

The rangers must be wishing now that Cliff Lee was available. Highly unlikely he would blow a 5 run lead.
Yanks are magic in the post season. It's the experience, the self confidence and the mystique.

The mystique is the smallest part of it (except maybe the players feel they have to uphold the winning tradition). These guys are pros. They are confident, but not cocky. No Reggie Jacksons here. They just go about their business and play the game the right way. Gardner's slide into first to start the 8th set up the whole inning. That was hustle.

Halladay gives up 2 homers and loses. What a bum. No wonder the Jays couldn't win with him here.

Just kidding of course, but neither pitcher was particularly impressive.

The Rangers could easily be up 2-0 without Cliff Lee throwing a pitch. Anyway, I think the pitchers for game 3 are Cliff Lee and A.J. "most overrated" Burnett.

I believe the Yanks are running out Pettite against Lee. Yanks rotation looks suddenly looks very shaky. Burnett for Game #4 - almost a giveaway win for the Trangers.

If I were the manager, I would not "waste" Pettite against Lee. Lee will beat Pettite in game 3 and game 4 with A.J. Burnett piching is "almost a giveaway". Can't CC come back for game 4? He didn't exactly pitch a lot of innings in game 1.

If the Yankees win Gm 3, Burnett will start Gm 4.

Should the Rangers win Gm 3, it is very likely that Sabathia will get the ball to start Gm 4 .

Texas should bring out Cliff Lee for bottom of 9th tonight.
Their bullpen has been a disaster this post season.

Remember that game 1 fiasco?

I told the Yankee manager not to start Pettite to-night. Wasted a fine pitching performance by Pettite. The Yanks should have "sacrificed" Burnett to-night and then go to Pettite, CC and Hughes.

Who would have pitched game seven, or is the strategy that you need to win it six anyway with Lee going in game seven.

But as I said earlier, the Rangers became big favourites in this series after splitting the first two due to the Lee Factor

Yea, they could be up 3 - 0 if it were'nt for that meltdown.
Rangers also would have had a 3 game sweep of series against Tampa; but, of course, bullpen blew save opportunity in game 3 of first round too.

Looks like they can rest Lee now for 9 th inning with all these runs, - even Texas bullpen can save this one.

The Yanks are between a rock and a hard place. They can start Burnett (4-13 with a 33million ERA) or CC (on short rest) for game 4. So dumb. They should have sacrified Burnett to-night and gone with Pettite for game 4.
