My favourite lady and I just celebrated our 2nd anniversary by joining the MHC.

I chartered a Cessna 310 twin with 2 pilots. The center row is removed so you have sufficient space in the rear seats to stretch out and move around on the floor . Once airborne , the pilots close a curtain behind them to provide a sense of privacy ( they can't hear what's going on anyhow because they wear earphones , but maybe they have spy mirrors installed ????) .
An hour-long trip takes you out to circle over the Niagara Falls and then around the ultimate phallic symbol, the CN tower.
Without choreographing anything in advance we managed to hit the high notes at just the right points in time , 3 times in a row.

Thanks for the memories, dear Gxxx !

Cost is 500/hr ex Buttonville ( flew out of Waterloo for 100 extra)

Please, please, please let us know how we can contact this company.

I'd really like to book something for valentine's day.

(Hey do you get a discount for all the referrals you're giving them.)

What's the fee? what's included in their fee? etc...

Fang : pray tell, how would it heighten my sense of enjoyment if I knew you were able to watch - unless I were an exhibitionist (which I am not really ) ? Now, the lady I was with is noted for not being shy . We have done "it" in the bay windows overlooking many glorious vistas from highrise TO and NF hotel rooms before , as well as in my backyard overlooking a golfcourse near a roaring bonfire ( while my wife was overseas ) .....

Brigitte : Contact Nexjet ( watch spelling ) in Unionville ON . They quoted me 700 earlier but when I told them I could get them some attention from a group of sexually adventurous people willing to spend , they reduced it to 600 .....
Enjoy !

OTB : I've been Platinum forever, and while this won't get me any further up the ladder with AA it gives me a hell of a lot of bonus points with my inner self ....

here, there and everywhere!
You might be interested in knowing that there is an official website for members of the Mile High Club at http://www.milehighclub.com/
You can get membership cards, T-shirts etc to advertise the fact that you've done what it takes to obtain membership.

(The T-shirt I got shows an altimeter on the front clocking in at 5,280 ft with the appropriate logo etc)
So yes, I am a member too! Several times actually (in a private charter plane and a few times on scheduled airline service)

Here
Do you qualify for the Official Mile High Club if you pay for the arrangement? It was my understanding that membership was based on your ability to get away with it on a commercial airline.

Subtle difference perhaps, but I thought one element of membership was the risk involved in qualifying.

You may be right, Muncherboy, however I was promised an induction certificate by mail as part of the arrangement.

Regardless as to whether I'll get it or not ( and who knows the credentials of the issueing party anyhow ? ) : The object of the excersize was to obtain memorable and "heightened" enjoyment in an unusual environment. This was accomplished perfectly well because the space to frollick around was there, whereas in a commercial airline the thrill of the risk has to make up for the total lack of enjoyment.

Thanks cunctator!

I went to www.nexjetaviation.com (I hope this is the one, as they're located in Oshawa) sent them an email requesting a quote.

If this is the one you used, would you like me to mention that I got their info off of terb?

A mile is around 5,000ft above sea level...

I have to report that Lara destroyed my backpacking tent at around 11,000 ft in the high sierra...

I dont know if this constitutes an altitude record with Lara, but she displayed some impressive improvisational talent with a broken tent pole and a length of bungee cord... :)

Poor girl must have been just totally desparate to stay warm and alive and to keep the blood circulating !

Brigitte : Yes, that's the right co.

To all who have sent pm's to "cunctator" : that was me on my laptop. It got stolen in NYC yesterday , and since I have no record of my password and the e-mail addy under which I established it, "cunctator" has passed on and "lustyhombre" is herewith re-surrected.

In a 310, huh. I am a pilot and I can guarantee you the pilots knew what was going on! We know EVERYTHING that happens beside us and around us and behind us. By the way I will fly you around for free as while I have my commercial ticket, I do not make my living flying so I cannot charge for insurance reasons. just pay for the rental............

Still waiting on a reply,

but if you go to the milehighclub website, they actually have a link to nexjet's website, for those interested in joining the club.

If that isn't a blatant advertisement to join the mile high club. I don't know what is.

She was doing fine - a very down to earth and practical lady in many ways :)
