This will be insane, packed stadiums. See how it goes, if the team will get better. Apparently Miami is awful. Will he last a year and see the talent level is too low?

I've gained new respect for the man, he has integrity. As George Costanza said " the football community needed a leader, someone to lead the way".

Playing in MLS may not be perfect, it's still better than the Saudi Bat Guano League. The Saudi's want to control football, a token of their appreciation after giving so much to the world.

Cheapest ticket for July 21 game was $29 before Messi announcement. Now cheapest is $471.
Just like when Pele joined NY Cosmos. Winning is not that important. More like exhibition games. Fans from Argentina will be flocking to South Beach to see their hero. Going to be insane

I find it ironic that Inter Miami even exists let alone sign Nello Messi.

David Beckham never played for Inter, he was with AC Milan when Inter won the Champions Cup. Also, Inter was asleep at the wheel, that's how Messi became a Barcelona player. His family heritage is from the Marche region of Italy.

I should explain the Inter/Messi debacle, although it seemed like a good deal - briefly.

Messi was heavily scouted from a young age. At 9, Inter greased the wheels to get him an Italian Passport. That would allow him to play as a European domestic in Serie A. He was supposed to move to the Inter Primavera once he became a teenager. Then Inter cut a deal to bring Ronaldo Nazario from Barcelona to Milano. To sweeten the pot, Inter included the young prodigy as part of the deal.

Ronaldo Nazario was a legendary play but he was mostly injured at the start of the century. He forced a move away from Inter after winning the World Cup.

Inter Miami has gained 4 million IG followers (and counting) in the last 24 hours. They now have more IG followers than any NFL, NHL, MLS team, MLB team.

Oh, and Barcelona threw Messi a shade: they respect his decision to want to compete in a league with fewer demands lol
