Not that I am expecting Trump will win the 2024 election. I believe
chance of Biden winning is better than people in general believe.
Somehow chance of Trump becoming the next POTUS cannot be
ruled out. This led me to wonder if there is anything positive people
who are not necessarily Trump fans can look forward to which his
presidency will bring.

To my delight I've learned from our own PM one positive thing
that will come with Trump's victory. And in the event of Trump
winning Trudeau can learn a thing or two from him.

Trudeau: Trump win in 2024 could harm fight against climate change
Dec. 22, 2023

OTTAWA - If Republican frontrunner Donald Trump wins the 2024 U.S. election it could harm the global effort to fight climate change, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in an interview aired on Friday.

Trump, who denies the science of climate change, said last week that if elected he would renege on a US$3 billion U.S. pledge to a global fund meant to help developing countries cut emissions. Trump has made attacking the Biden administration's investments in renewable energy a core part of his campaign message.

"Yes, there's a concern particularly around the environment at a time where it's so important to move forward on protecting and building an economy of the future," Trudeau told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp.

"A Trump presidency that goes back on the fight against climate change would slow down the world's progress in ways that are concerning to me," he said, describing Trump's approach to the climate during his presidency as "a menace not just to Canada but to the world."

Biden's Inflation Reduction Act, which outlined massive investments to accelerate the green transition, prompted Canada to spend billions to attract major automakers seeking sites to manufacture electric vehicles and battery components.

Trudeau had a rocky relationship with Trump, who once called him "dishonest and weak," and he was one of the first world leaders to congratulate Biden on his 2020 election victory.

I strongly suspect that, barring shenanigans, Trump would be re-elected in 2024 if facing off with Biden. However, I fully expect a lot of shenanigans, both in the Republican primaries and in the general.

I don't expect Biden will be the Democratic nominee, to be honest. If I were to make a prediction, I think he'll give it another couple months before bowing out for "health reasons", and since it's too late for Democrats to run a primary, this'll allow the DNC to pick a nominee of their own choosing without risking an upstart.

Just a question, do you believe the election was stolen from Trump in 2020? I ask because you mentioned shenanigans.

Here we go. Not one vote has been cast and you are setting up the next insurrection. Sad.

No, I don't believe it was stolen. I think Biden had a way better ground game than Trump did, and a lot of anti-Trump support. Trump supporters should have realized that, and maybe they wouldn't have been surprised by the outcome and grasping for straws.

The shenanigans I am referring to could be Trump being thrown off the ballot, some loophole that allows the RNC to appoint Haley instead, or restrictions of day-of voting. Stuff like that.

WTF are you talking about?
What does this mean:

I strongly suspect that, barring shenanigans, Trump would be re-elected in 2024 if facing off with Biden. That is what the stable genius said prior to every election he has every been in and even some primaries.

See above post #5 in response to squeezer. I'm not claiming mystery ballots or defunct voting machines will steal it from Trump, nor that that happened in 2020.

Following this thread. Some people on this board seem to be retarded.
That's a slander against the developmentally disabled. Some people can't help what hey are. I don't put Trumpists in that category and propose a 1000% tax on MAGA gear...

I think it will be a resounding triumph for DEI. The first time in US history since Reagan that a senile cretin has been elected president.

Trump would overcome dementia to win the biggest prize of all. It would be a guiding light to all the octagenarians in 24/7 care that they too could become CEO's, generals or NFL quarterbacks, as long as they want it bad enough.

And Trump could sponsor adult diapers and model them while giving speeches. Another PotUS first.

The Dems are running out of time, to appoint a new candidate. I still think it will be sleepy Joe against Trump!!

does Biden pass a Starbucks test?

if you owned Starbucks shop would you hire Biden to be your cashier?

if not, how can he qualify to be a president? :)

I had to delete my like after you edited and added the second line. An insurrectionist should not be allowed to EVER run for the most powerful post in the world. I hope the Supreme Court agrees and keeps him off the ballot although I suspect they will not. I prefer Trump to Niki because I believe Niki would do better in a general election unless of course maga decides not to vote as a protest for Trump being out.

As for Niki Haley and the RNC pulling off shenanigans, COME ON MAN!
