You do realize that Hunter's laptop was a republican hoax and contained absolutely nothing other than some nudes ? So Republicans weren't allowed to lie and exaggerate and that's what cost them the election ? Did it ever occur to you that the MSM is fair and balanced, reporting trumps crimes and follies is a representation of who he actually is not a made up persona like the republicans do to their political opponents? Just like DeShawn Watson and Trump- you believe Trump is innocent and Watson guilty but what is that based on exactly other than the false narrative you have been groomed to believe : that Trump is innocent of all the crimes he committed or should not have been charged for the crimes he admitted to committing. Trump has not been convicted of insurrection. If he were to be, and subsequently removed from the ballot, I would not call that shenanigans.
However, I don't think there are grounds to convict Trump of insurrection anyway. Correct me if I'm wrong, but to be charged with insurrection you have to knowingly incite violence and destruction against federal agents and government property. If calling for a protest, that subsequently turned violent and destructive, fell back on the person calling for protest, there'd be a ton of government officials (and advocacy leaders) behind bars right now.
What I find a more likely charge would be seditious conspiracy, as willful violence and destruction are not required burdens, though even that would be tricky to nail down IMO, because you would have to prove that Trump was instructing people to actually overthrow the rightful government. As far as I'm aware, he was advocating for looking into what he believed to be election discrepancies. However, I think the argument could go either way, and comes down to whether or not you believe Trump was actually asking protestors to go down and forcibly stop the ratification, and also that his reasoning was to keep himself in power rather than to address irregularities (in his mind). I think it's possible to make that argument and find him guilty of seditious conspiracy, but far from a sure thing. But that wouldn't make him an insurrectionist anyway.

No conviction as of yet, you are correct but we've all seen his cohort's speeches and his riling up the magatwats. We heard, mainly hell mostly republicans testify under oath in the House stating his intentions. This is not a man that should ever hold office again. The Republicans need to wash this stain away to return back to their normal ways. I would bet a fortune Mitch McConnel is kicking himself for not allowing the Senate to Impeach the want-to-be dictator when they had the chance.
