You can find so many video's of people baiting cops. And really the cop's act with restraint. I, if ever facd with those situations would snap. Authority figures always make an easy target for people looking to vent. They did something, and the cops were likely forced to respond.

Errors? So it really was on cnn all along, and women, children, and babies are all valid targets of the state. Whatever bro...
So, when people riot, the state should what... get out of the way and let them have at it? And since this really wound up being dispersed with no one being seriously hurt, what makes you think it deserves more news coverage than it has got? It has been reported quite a few places. For example, the places you linked. Exactly how this has been "suppressed" I don't know.

I literally stumbled across that video on youtube, and was surprised I had not seen any reference to it on the many news sites I regularly frequent. As of this post time, the story is still not on CNN. Look at this link for a search on the word "Anaheim":

http://www.cnn.com/search/?query=Anaheim&sortBy=date

While I always appreciate a spirited debate, it was not out of malice that I chose to inform my fellow terbites of this shocking video.

Don't shoot the messenger!

It's a story about a "near riot" that was dispersed without anyone being seriously hurt or killed. It was reported widely in the local news for that area (where your video comes from, KCAL is CBS News Channel 9 in LA) but picked up by some, but not other national outlets. Given that no-one was killed or seriously injured, what makes you think it should be national news?

It's debatable. ABC agrees with you. CNN doesn't. So it's borderline, but it isn't clear to me what you think is being covered up here or why.

The fact this is not on cnn or cbc proves this story is being suppressed.
So you admit your title for the thread is a lie.

You said it was a media blackout. Now you say (maybe) it's suppressed because two whole outlets have not reported it (yet). You're a joke.

Police are agents of the government, and I foresee a coming conflict in the states between the people and the government. According to George4title, an underground Californian youtube reporter, in the past this would not have been reported at all, and we are now seeing more stories like this gaining mainstream media attention.

CNN, which I see as the propaganda wing of the US Government, clearly does not want to publish stories that portray the government in a negative light. Someone is shot dead - people get upset and protest - protest is quashed - and it never happened. No longer with social media. Americans are still not mentally okay with violence on fellow American police officers, but with videos like this, they will see that fire must be fought with fire.

I summise that videos like this clash with a lot of peoples world view, and that is upsetting to their congruence.

I wish I could change the road we're on, but it will not end well. And yes shack, I am guilty as charged of sensationalising my thread title to gain views. Maybe I've been reading too much Sun Media :)

Where do you get the idea that police/public confrontations are not widely reported in the media? I mean.. Kent State, People's Park, it's not hard to think of examples from long ago that were extensively covered, though to Rodney King. These things tend to get a LOT of press. Here in Canada the media has been all over G20 police abuses like a fat kid on a smartie.

From George4title. And don't forget the 1968 Democratic Convention. Should be interesting with the upcoming conventions in August - RNC Aug 27-30, DNC Sept 3-6. Will Obama's Occupy and Union armies cause the elections to be postponed?

I guess there was no media coverage of the 68 convention either.

Are you predicting there will be significant civil disobedience causing rescheduling of something significant.

At the end of the day, news outlets like sensationalized shit.Shotguns around kids and attack dogs is pretty sensational.I too, am a bit surprised this has not gone viral.I mean alot less has gotten a lot more attention. The media has not changed much since the Rodney king days.If it bleeds it leads....and the dude was bleeding.

Hmm the tension is ratcheting up across the world. At some point there will be a watershed incident like this where the crowd will retaliate with quiet a bit of firepower...it's almost inevitable that it will happen sooner or later.

That is one of the saddest things I have seen in a while.
So let me see if i get this straight.

Men storm a police, knowing there are women and children in their group. Did they think the women and children would stop the police from defending themselves, with bean bag and pepper bullets mind you. Did they think the police would just step a side and let them ransack the premises. Yup, it could be considered the saddest thing you ever heard of, putting women and children in danger like that. Don't groggy and company find out they might consider this using human shields.
