This thread was prompted by an earlier message regarding a trip to Punta Cana. I've wondered for some time what level of services are available at the massage studios that you find at many resorts in the Caribbean. Some of these places are little open huts on the beach, and I don't imagine much happens there. But others are more private.

I've tried some of the health spas in malaysia (KL and Penang), where the services are very liberal indeed. However, more recently my leisure trips have been restricted to places in the Caribbean. Most of these resorts advertise massage, but I've never tried them out.

Does anyone have any experiences of these places?

Although |'ve never been, a buddy of mine was Negril, Jamaica last year. He told me he approached one of the hotel staff where he was staying and asked where the action was, massage wise. A 15 minute cab ride later he was in heaven.

My experineces in South America are similar. Whenever in doubt, just ask the hotel staff where you're staying to point you in the right direction. You'd be surprised what great leads you can get with a simple smile
(not to mention a juicy tip) ;)

Thanks HMTM, but that's not really what I wanted to know.

I'm interested to find out if anyone has any experiences with the ONSITE massage services at these resorts. They all seem to provide these services, but I've never known anyone who has availed themselves. The previous thread ("My time in Punta Cana") is the closest, but it sounds like all he got was an ear and nose job.

Anyone?

ouch, that made me sound dirty. I still claim that I was never expecting any nasal action during that massage. Just keep in mind that the services you may be looking for wouldn't have been available to me since my massage was done in a semi-open hut on the beach.

There was also a salon on site with a private room for massages. But unfortunately I'm not positive about what goes on in there, other than the same type of treatment that I got.

There was also a phone number you could call from your room to inquire about massages. I don't know if that means they'd actually come to your room for a massage or not. Maybe they just told you to go to the beach or salon for a massage. I'm sure it'll be a while before I go back there but if/when I do, I'll try to find out more for you.

I was in Xian, China several years ago at a large hotel. (Sorry, the name of the American chain escapes me).

While walking around in the lobby, I passed the hotel's spa and a very attractive gal encouraged me to come in for a massage. I had just been to Bangkok with several ladies trying to wave me in for a 'massage', so I was pumped and ready for some action.

I made an appointment, with the hopes of having this attractive gal do the massage. Well, I arrived, was led to the room with the massage table and I end up getting a 1-hour massage from some 80-year old granny! While she knew some good pressure points, it was not the nice erotic touch I was hoping for.

Won't be going back there too soon!

That is a bait and switch to remember

Tower,

My sincere condolences...I had a similar experience in Korea.

I was staying at a hotel in Cheju (an island off the southerly tip) and called for a massage in my room. On the phone was a sexy, oh so polite voice and I couldn't help but think of all the beautiful, perfect smile in slit skirt female staff at the desk and restaurants. Quickly doing the exchange in my head, it was quite reasonable for an hour. A discreet knock a few minutes later...and a 50 year old man then proceeded to give me one of the best massages I've received (of course non-MP!!!!) kneading my body into oblivion.

Its the standard Asian bait and switch.

There are several places in Seoul that do give a happy ending with a haircut and massage for about $20-30.

The only experience I've had with resorts was at the Wyndam Beach Resort in Aruba. The massage rooms were part of the health centre (gym) complex and all of the attendants were Registered Massage Therapists. No extras, but great massage.

Hotel massage - Deja vu

My 2nd exposure to MP, years ago, while in NYC, in Koreantown, across the street from a busy spa. From our hotel room, all time of the day see people going in and out of the place. Buddies joked about why would guys go to a spa, little do they know.

I almost forgot all about the earlier NYC experience until not too long ago booked a discount room in lower mid Mahattan. Thinking take a break from the T.O. K scene. What happens, deja vu, I was smack dab in the heart of NYC K-town. Surrounded by K culture all weekend. Not a bad thing, just laughed at myself, didn't have to be so far away from home for this. A Flock of Seagulls' "And I ran, I ran so far away, I just ran, I ran all night and day. I couldn't get away"

And wouldn't you know it, the hotel was right next door to that popular K spa years ago. Even a private hallway between hotel and spa, offering join services.

During our stay, hotel doorman tried to sweet talk us into getting a sauna/massage and in-room 'fun'. He likely get kickback. As a rule, I don't partake when I'm outside of GTA, so no 1st hand experience.

But other 'non-Asian' tourists claimed the attendants were nice and more liberal than 'girls back home'. Then again they haven't been to T.O., so take feedback with grain of salt. The owner and manager of hotel are Asians bringing in Asian tourists by the bus load. My NYC contact tell me that spa is hit and miss.

Looking for erotic experiences/massage in the carribean countries is a dangerous
game to play. It's highly illegal, and not taken as lightly there as it is here in
Canada. If your caught,( and the chances are high, as they get raided constantly
by cops looking to be "paid off" for turning a blind eye,) consider yourself
f**ked. It means time in their jails/and or a large payoff to get you out.
Sometimes food is not even given to inmates in some jails. And as many of
the islands are poor (cuba, jamaica, DR) you have many of the girls underage.
If you get caught with an underage girl....well.....depending on the circumstances
involved and the police your dealing with, a call to The Canadian Consulate might
be in order because the police in those countries are CORRUPT!

Where I vacation frequently, a tourist that had been there for several weeks
was with some friends some night who were smoking ganga. He wasan't smoking
it but the guys were. After they finished it they threw it aside which several
minutes later he happened to be standing. When the police came by on their stroll,
their observation of the burning roach close to his feet had him seized and placed in jail overnight.
$100 bucks to get out.

Moral of the story: Police in these islands often do what they want, when they want,
how they want.

I could write many, many, stories like this and what I've seen. Do everything in your
hotel room only. So, I have been told that some of the hotel massuse's will do an
outcall if you are staying at another small hotel/apartment hotel's. That in my opinion,
would be your safest bet. People talk alot on these islands and everybody knows
everybody. Everybody knows what everyone does and just when you think there is
no way someone could know what your doing, they know. The only absolute privacy
is in your room. :)

I think you're getting a little mixed up here miss Red. Obvously, playing with drugs in a foreign country is foolish and is bound to get you time in the slammer if you get caught. But playing with girls is entirely different and is not likely to raise many eyebrows. For instance, MP's are quite common in the DR and are advertised quite openly. At one resort hotel I stayed at in the DR there was an MP just a block away. I spent quite a few evenings enjoying a massage there. A little different concept than we are used to. MP's in the DR have bars. So you can go in, enjoy a drink while you chat with the girls and make your choice and then take your unfinished drink with you to the room.

In Cuba there are no MP's. If police catch you with a girl there the only one heading for jail is the girl. The guy won't even be questioned. Not a cool situation for the girls but they are quite used to it and it generally doesn't stop them from seeking out company.

I've also been to MP's in Mexico and Colombia. They seem to be quite legal and openly advertised.

One situation I witnessed in Colombia saw a tourist get into trouble with the local police. They were going to haul him off to jail. Not because they caught him with an SP but because she claimed he didn't pay her enough.

Obviously if you play with drugs or underage girls in these countries you will run into trouble but other than that you don't have much to worry about.

Your mistaken Rev. The information I received recently about the DR is on a web
page called dr1.com. About 2 weeks ago the government started a major crackdown
on MP's and even strip clubs. I can't remember the exact # of people arrested, men
and women, but it was in the double digits. You can check the info yourself. This is
big news in the DR, all over newspapers/TV for the past couple of weeks. It is
a new focus for the government and they vow to close down all MP's in DR. Any adult
entertainment involving massage/nudity/dancing nude.
This is new for them as they have usually
disregarded this industry and turned a blind eye.
If I remember correctly, it was in Santo Domingo.
Regardless, why even take such a risk in a foreign country. I'm actually quite
suprised that you would say someone wouldn't have "much to worry about". Ask
some of those men that just got charged in the DR two weeks ago in an MP if they
now have something to worry about. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm all for massage
and find it ridiculous that anyone should have to worry about having any problem,
any where, when it comes to two consenting adults, but the price to be paid seems
a bit high, especially when your only on a short vacation. You can just as easily
find a girl to visit your room. I'm not saying to practice celibacy while on holidays,
but play the safest route you can get.

I wouldn't comment on this thread if I didn't have knowledge of these situations.
If you seen my passport you would see stays of up to 2-6 months on some of these islands. Believe me, you can run into problems.
I think advising people that they don't have much to worry about when doing something
illegal in a foreign country isn't very good advice. But your right about the drugs, it
is a totally different situation, but ganga, go figure. It is such a minor narcotic, but
taken so seriously.

I'll see if I can post the link about the DR.

Okay, here's the link:www.dr1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39577

102 women arrested and 28 men. This was recently in the DR. And as I said,
they usually didn't bother with this, only once in a while, but apparently they
are going to start. That's the problem, you never know when a place your
visiting may all the sudden change their views on the issue. Maybe not be an
issue today in Jamaica, Cuba, Columbia etc...but it could be tommorow. Not worth
the risk IMO.

Thanks Red.

I haven't read the DR news for a few months. You are on top of things as always! ;)
