Purdue or as I call them Purdon't, always underachieves in the tournament. I don't think they have ever reached a final four in my lifetime, and I have been following B1G(Big Ten) basketball since the early '80's.Purdue gone, ouch ! I think this is their 3rd upset in the last few years . . .
I watched one of Purdue's last games before the tournament and Zach Edey was unstoppable, so I took Purdue in my Final Four. Next year I'm picking them out in Round # 1, again !
I didn't see them play this year, but traditionally, Purdue has had some of the ugliest cheerleaders in D1. SEC cheerleaders are usually hot, but they tend to wear too much makeup. There are usually a few stunners waiving their pompoms for Davidson, when they make the field.
The Big Ten wasn't very good this year, only one team made it to the sweet sixteen, MSU Spartans. I felt sorry for Zach Edey, he was so raw coming in as a freshman and has improved a lot. He did his job, but the rest of the team let him down. I have Houston going and they look good - let see what happens. Been a great tourny so far.
The lack of shooting was a major issue. So was the inflexibility of the offence.
The saying "you can't coach height" has so much merit. Kid started basketball with a shitty high school team in grade 10 and 4 years later is a national player of the year.
I'm liking what I've seen from UCLA (after I made my bracket of course) and UCONN looked amazing today against Arkansas.
CONN at 5:1 and TEN at 10:1 look like decent odds if you're not rooting for BAMA or HOU !
The Big 10 got 8 at-large bids. That's not a sign of a weak conference, it's actually the opposite.
I shied away from them as their best player has a groin injury. I took Texas in that bracket that game against Xavier tonight should be a doozy.
I have UConn coming out of the West.
I got absolutely blown up in the East bracket had Duke facing Marquette in the elite eight.
In the south I have Alabama facing Creighton in the elite eight in one pool. In the other I had Arizona, who got bounced int the 1st round by Princeton. That was fucked.
Two of my final four bowed out last night in Tenn and UCLA - those are the breaks - thats why they called it the Madness. Have Bama and Houston in the final . Lets see what happens tonight - my entire bracket can be busted tonight.

I was watching that ZAGS vs UCLA game and wasn't rooting for anyone just wanted to see a good match, but the ZAGS deserved that win. When UCLA couldn't score for 10 mins the coach didn't try different things to get a basket. Set up a play for a sure dunk, call various time outs , try different matchups, do anything to get 2 points. UCLA finally figured out the ZAGS defense and went on a run and got some 3 point plays. That's why other than a $10 bracket with buddies, I don't put money on it. Had Bama in the finals but seeing them lose to SDST was entertaining.
Love the play @ 40s left. Nowell talking to the coach while bringing the ball up, one spartan is busy watching the discussing and gives up a clutch alley oop.
I can't believe HOU and BAMA had very little energy tonight. Hats off to MIA and SD . I took them on a hedge bet and go figure, they both win. Where are all my #1 seeds ? UGH !

Well - now will wait for 2024. This is a first for me - all my final four teams eliminated within the last 2 days. Houston game was painful to watch.

Thanks ! The best time to bet on sports is NCAA football, NFL and March Madness. I don't enjoy MLB, NBA or NHL as much so putting on futures bets helps me average down my betting $ until early Sept . . .
