In about a year, actually July 6th 2005; Karla Homolka will be released from prison. Homolka served 12 years for her role in, probably the most notorious serial murder trial in recent memory. Homolka was convicted of 2 counts of manslaughter.

The question is - do you think she will require mandatory supervision after her release or seeing that she did her full stint, she's entitled to live her life free of any restrictions?

The Crown in the trial made an interesting comment - he noted that the difference in Bernardo and Homolka is the difference between evil and pure evil. Is there a difference? Should there be?

I certainly hope she's not stupid enough to come back to this area. Wouldn't be a smart move at all!

Just be careful out there boys - in a year from now - as you never know who that "new" SP on the scene is....it could be Karla herself....I mean, she's gonna have to support herself somehow...

Unfortunately, what we, as the general public, think is of no importance to parole borads and the courts in general. They do whatever it takes to funnel people throught the system.. at all cost. If I had my way, I would fire every parole board member and place each position up for public election in order to develop some form of accoutability into this rotton system.

She is a disgusting, weak, waste of space however I don't think Karla is a threat to re-offend.

All the "he made me do it" emotional bs was unquestionably her ticket out of life imprisonment.

But I do believe that she did what she did to make Paul Bernardo happy.

I have a "six degrees of separation" to both Kristen and Leslie - and I don't excuse Karla for what she did - infact I, (like most others) believe she should have gotten a harsher sentence.

But as long as she doesn't fall for another devient, evil, excuse for a man I highly doubt she would ever be a threat to society.

I also believe police incompetence had a lot to do with it. Had they found the videotape(s?) hidden in their house, they would have been able to put her away for sure. When the police didn't, they needed her testimony to get him. Without the tapes, they also didn't know the extent of her involvement. It's really too bad.

We all already know there's more sickos out there just like Bernardo. So what happens when she gets out and another idiot finds her like him? And then once again she pulls the same "he made me do it" crap? Personally i wouldn't want it to be MY sister, daughter, friend, neighbour.....whoever in order to prove whether she would or not. Sorry but i don't believe she should ever see the light of day but then i don't think she should have such a cushioned "home" either. I mean she helped to torture and ended up killing her own SISTER!!

If Karla become an sp, would any of the Terbites go to see her?

That is a good question?

Part of me says she is a good looking woman, and I wouldn't mind getting my freak on with her...

...but...

The other Part of me says, she is a cold blooded sadistic murderer, with out a Conscience. She may want to kill again, maybe a man this time.

No, sorry. but after what she did, I wouldn't touch that piece of garbage with a 40 ft pole, even if she was for FREE!
