So quick to judge aren't we? How stupid do you feel now?

The family of the victim contacted police to help the mental guy, they were concerned for him and were waiting a couple of blocks down with police. How messed up is this? The family contacted police on their own to get assistance, and instead they murder him. (Full article below)
http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/article/854757--family-contacted-police-before-fatal-shooting

I am almost sure that the cop was just trying to flaunt his manhood and shot him without having to do it, guy running away means his back is towards you, is he superman to fly at the cop and stab him when he is like 9 feet away?

So basically the people who are saying 'it was still a threat to the cop' are saying this:

1) The guy had super-powers, he could fly like superman and stab the cop
2) He is as quick as superman because even though he was running away which means his back is towards the cop he is soooo quick he can, stop running, turn around, then fly at the cop and stab him

Terb is full of your typical racist suburban raised men. sad.

According to your version of the story, a mentally deranged man with a knife is running down a public street - and you think the police should just let him go?

Here we go again. Let the trolls in let the trolls in let the trolls in.

Did you even read the article? The family contacted police to get assistance as they were worried for him, and instead the cops killed him. Have you seen the picture of the knife? It's not even a knife its a fucking butter knife looking blade.

I just read the article and it doesnt tell anyone anything...this person said this...that person said that.

It would be hard to make solid conclusions from either side of this one until the facts are clarified and substantiated

UH....Where exactly does it say that he was running away and where did you come up with the 9 foot measurement?

More conjecture on your part I know why let the facts stand in the way of a good story right? You would make a good reporter when you grow up.

Where did that beauty come from? What does race have to do with anything in this story?

It says in all the articles he was shot in the back and the witnesses say he ran from the cop. So, people run backwards these days I guess then? The news reported the cop took 3 steps back a typical step back for a human is about 3 feet hence my calc of 9 feet. And that isn't even adding the distance the guy ran. This was a murder with no excuse.

Okay I'll play with your troll act.

Where in the Star article does it say that he was shot in the back? Remember you said all the articles now.

Did it ever occur to you that as the cops flushed him out through the front that they were waiting for him outside the side door thus leading to a head on confrontation?

you never did answer my question about what race has to do with this? How about it?

Even at my ripe old age, if i was standing 9 feet from you (with a knife) and you were to be holding a firearm on me, likely i would be able to stab you without you getting a shot off. Seems strange but its true.

Lag time=The time it takes you to evaluate the situation and eventually respond. This takes just over a second and a half. In that time i could reach you. The variables are enormous but the police are trained to fire in certain instances from certain distances etc.

Its sad that a life was lost but we really can't make any comments about the actual incident until the facts are in. All the stories report conflicting statements from observers.

The witnesses themselves say he was shot in the back, it was on cp24 that 'he was shot in the back while running from police'.

You are right in what you say, but it was not just 9 feet the guy was running so that had to add some more distance, and why shoot a guy whos running away? It proves he was shot while running because he was shot in the back. And if you go listen to the news interview the guy says 'the cop took 3 big steps back'. Lets say the guy was even 6 feet away, and adding the run space, no need for the cop to discharge his weapon. I wonder why the scumbags name has not been released yet.

Ill wait for the final report by the oversight board...the non police one!!

But in the meantime..a guy with the knife..running any direction...SHOULD BE SHOT..back or front...if he is about to cause grievious bodily harm to anyone.

He may not have been a threat to THE police officer....but he may well have been a threat to someone..and if so,...SHOOT HIM IN THE BACK FOR SURE!!!!

But..again...Ill wait for the report!!

couldn't police use taser or shoot him in the legs? Do they have to kill him?

Who made you judge and jury WallStreet, that you can determine the cop's a murderer with neither evidence nor due process? On media BS alone.

Reminds us all that the jury's still out on whether the human brain is truly a survival characteristic or an evolutionary dead end for the planet.

There's an old, old summer camp sketch for Campfire Nite with a punchline for this situation: "Patience, jackass."

You said that it said in all the articles that he was shot in the back now you are saying it was on TV.

What do you do just make this stuff up as you go along.

And if the vic was running away as you said why would the cop back up to shoot at him?

I'll tell you why since you can't figure it out, the cop backed up because the vic was running towards him with a knife most likely.

You still didn't answer what race has to do with this? Come on I challenge you to show.

If the cop had to shoot, maybe he should've shot him in the leg instead?
