I think you are being excessively charitable. Besides, incontinence would mean he’d shit his pants, not be able to just get out, drop trou, and pinch a loaf while filling his tank up. If you must be charitable you can maybe — maaaaybe —say he’s a super new immigrant and didn’t understand people would see this as an absolute atrocity, because as someone mentioned above, this is absolutely a thing in India.
