I reckon this was one of those domestic situations...they are all argy-bargy and she takes off whilst he's trying to get into the vehicle.
I have lived in this city for 80 years, remember when it was called Toronto The Good, in the 50s, 60s, and early 70s, it was the rock n roll capital of North America with the best nightclubs and bars featuring some of the best musicians and bands. But no you are right it is now a Big Shit Hole.

The gentleman you see being dragged alongside the car is actually the valet at a certain hotel, he is notifying the driver that it is not his vehicle but someone else’s. Be thankful he didn’t get run over because a highway would have been shut down for six hours. I guess this video must be fake, there’s no poo in it when in reality OPP responded to it before midnight and the person was quote in crisis no charges were laid. I still remember when some guy tried crossing the 410 during winter time many many years ago. I think he was picked up at 410 and Clark and dragged all the way down to the Ford plant in Oakville, and that’s when I think uber started in Canada.

Good point but the bars had to close at 1:00 am. By the way, did you notice the bars being packed in 1971 with the age change?
