Mad Dogs

Should mad dogs (and Englishmen) and their owners be "tagged".

For me leash free parks are a horrible place.

You get owners who are on their phone or chatting while their dog is well beyond their reach should anything happen.

You get puppy owners who freak out when their puppy shrieks. Dogs wrestle it's natural if they let it go the puppy will learn. This is safe as long as you supervise it. If my dog encounters a puppy I am within arms reach.

You get owners who get confrontational, their dog is a saint everyone's elses dog is a demon.

If I go, I go really early in the morning less puppies and meat heads.

I think mad dogs should be uthenized to prevent the virus from spreading.

High risk or dangerous dogs should have a muzzle, tags won't prevent the dogs from biting another person or animal. Also police may over react and shoot when approached by a dangerous dog if all it had was tags.

You take away the best part for the dog which is associating with other dogs, running and playing with them. Everytime I go to a park with the corral, the dogs are the happiest running and chasing each other.

My dogs play with other dogs at day care and come home exhausted. They get play.

Plus my dogs love to fetch and will do it till they are tired.

Plus they play with each other every day as well as go to the day care twice a week so they get plenty of activity. That doesn't even includes walks and fetch sessions.

I've had enough bad experiences that I really don't want to be bothered. Usually it is a puppy that is scared by my dog (which is 35 pounds and gentle). I can control my dog but I can't control new dog owners who mistake dogs playing for fighting.
