Looking for Boys Night Ideas

Hi All,
Not sure if this is the right place to post, so please excuse me. I don't post very much.

I'm looking for ideas for a boys night out. I did a search, bit all I could find was bachelor party ideas. Those are great and all, but my friends and I are now all married, we don't drink beyond the occasional beer, and strip clubs are of no interest to us. We have a few guys in our group that don't like the outdoors, so no real activity, not even bowling. We're all in early to mid 40's and beyond driving our kids from program to program, we really have no life. Hence by problem, I honestly have no idea what a boys night is anymore!!

Would love to find a place like the ones in the movies for a sauna, massage and just sit to shoot the shit. But I don't think those places actually exist.

Something else I thought of is a poker game with some eyecandy to host. But again, I don't think that exists either.

We're not rich, just normal blue collar guys that need a break from life without breaking the bank. In need of a night out every so often.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Thanks in advance!

Here is what you do. Cut a deal with the wives for a boys night at one of the houses. All kids removed. They can sleep over at another house.

Do it on a Saturday night. Then you have the leafs game on in the background. Set up the poker table with cheap stakes(use chips). So no one gets hurt and bragging rights are the goal. Byob. Maybe if one of the wives makes a good lasagna, chili or otherwise get that thrown in.

Enjoy the night.

Then reciprocate where the ladies get a night. Rotate the location.

Repeat as necessary. It's easy to put together, wives tend to like it as you are home. And they get something out of it. And cheap as well.

On top of that any hobby play can be done before or after with little to no worries.

Best times are the ones you make for yourselves.

I'm not a guy but a good poker or Euchre game is fun. A few beers - play some good tunes in the background. Make some nice appetizers.... Don't think too much about it. Just have fun! :)

That sounds like a good idea, but before I read that, I was going to suggest a VIP movie night. They have a VIP lounge, serve food and drinks. Go early for an hour or two lounge time before the movie. Pick a guys movie, Triple X or something.
Plus they serve food, desert or drinks at your movie seat.
If everyone's up for it, back to the lounge after the movie, then arrange a cab ride home. :)

Flirt 2 at victoria park has a large room with tables chair and couches. maybe you could rent that, play poker, get some massages. but you would have to contact management. i would guess that all the guys would have to commit to booking a session.

personally i would find i awkward for a bunch of married guys to all get together and cheat. if one guy gets caught look out!

Go to a Junior Hockey game(way cheaper than the Leafs) then go out for a few beers

Check out Bad Axe Throwing. Very simple fun, doesn't break the bank, you can bring your own beer (no hard liquor apparently), only mildly active, and you get to feel manly chucking axes at targets. Enjoy! :)

Indoor go carts are fun. Several tracks in Toronto with good discounts online ..can take the family to watch. I think that rooms are available if you wish. Check out with Mr. Google.

A butcher shop on the Danforth offer an "introduction to butchering" class for small groups. How to make sausages, tear down a steer, whatever you want. The lads are pretty relaxed, and know their meat.

Wow! There are some real gems for ideas here! Thanks a lot people... Appreciate the ideas. I'll send them a list and hopefully they can all agree to at least one of them!

I know a couple of guys who are really into curling. But if your friends aren't active enough to go bowling, they may not like it. Just throwing out another idea.

if you like video games, go to the virtual reality place in kensington market. it's pretty amazing if you've never experienced VR before. totally immersive experience and they have tons of games - like zombie killing, or flying simulations, or shooting UFOs. literally transports you into a different world. there are also multiplayer games too for you to play together. it's $25 for an hour.
That's a cool idea. Do you know the name of the place by chance?

Get on a mens league team that suits you and your buddy's skill level, although expect some skilled ol timers playing in the beginner leagues(some ppl take it way too seriously).
After every game win or lose the beer is always great. Could also go to a range and shoot some golf balls or join a mma club and have the traditional beer after classes. Best to try and stay physical while with the boys, keep the youth alive and have lots of great locker room conversations.
