Sad when I heard this today. He was the trusted constant for any news cast he anchored (or co-anchored).

RIP, he was voted Canada's most trusted television journalist by TV Guide Canada readers for 11 consecutive years.

Used to see this SP, told me that LR was a close family friend and that the voice greeting on her phone was that of his voice.

Growing up my parents always had CTV News on. Lloyd Robertson was a voice of our house for decades. Very professional. Very trustworthy. And I believe the longest serving national news anchor in North American history. RIP.
