Unfortunately if you have money they work as soon you run out they vanish!

In Canada now Lawyers can work on contingency. So if find a law firm you believes in yor case , they get paid when you do. Up too 30% be careful as soon the cash is coming ,contingency agreements turn into more litigation for bullshit costs.

Jim Douglas at BLG. He can refer you to someone more junior if price is an issue. Good luck.

As one using lawyers for my present proceedings, I dare say there are more bad lawyers than good ones, and they are interested in your cash - plus they do like to drag things out.

My suggestion is Word of mouth to get a good one. It will cost you lots of bucks to go with a bad one. Talk to people and get recommendations.

There's something to be said for this. A friend had this issue with ta lawyer who charged a standard rate. The two opposing lawyers played tag and fucked around with paper work, stringing this thing along. This lawyer was canned and a new lawyer was retained at $1k/hour and this lawyer didn't care to fuck around trading phone calls and paper work, he went right for the throat immediately, getting to the heart of the issue. The saying can be true here, you certainly get what you pay for.
