What was he trying to accomplish by talking about feelings from 40 years ago? I remeber being on vacation in Karl-Marx-Stadt and along with some German kids we kicked the shit out of some Russian kids staying in the same facility... because they were Russians. So, what? You tend to be emotional in your youth and with energy to burn. You shouldn't be talking about it in your golden years as it's nothing to be proud about.

I don’t think you know the meaning of racism. He targeted one group cmon...
Did you read it?

She said she was raped by a black person. He was filled with violent rage. I am not accusing the behaviour, but he was seeking revenge. Mind you, he was insane and cast all black people as victims of his rage, but he would have chosen anybody she said and he said that exactly.

Had she said a midget, he would have attacked a midget. If she said he wore a tall skinny hat, he would have beaten some guy with a hat.

His motives weren’t racist according to him, but misplaced violence and rage.

In this day and age, most people know what racism is.

Marky Mark committed a hate crime. He beat up an Asian because the guy was Asian. That’s racism. If he just wanted to jack him and steal something, that’s not racism, just regular assault and theft.

It’s context.

If race played no part, why didn't he just attack any man?
Because his friend described a black man. Liam used it as a descriptor.

Had she described Asian, Italian, he would have targeted any of those.

I am just telling what he said because motivations are important in determine cause of action and whether it was hate based or something else.

If the friend described him as black and he used it as a descriptor, then that would make it a racial attack.

Had she said Asian and he attacked an Asian, it wouldn't change the argument. This works against your position.

His intent was to find someone that fits a profile. That profile was based on race.

Twisted story.

He had violent thoughts to commit a violent action, not racist thoughts to complete a racist (violent) action.
I think it definitely stereotyped all black men.

To be honest he shared a little too much, just a tad. Somethings you just got to keep to your damn self lol. Not everyone needs to know.

He's built a career on portraying men on a revenge kick, and now it turns out that wanted to kill innocent blacks because of the actions of one black man. Stranger than fiction!

If Neeson wanted publicity, he did it in the shoddiest way possible.

Like Terry Crews, Neeson was a professional athlete before turning to acting. He was a prizefighter...had he followed through he could have done some real damage.

He lived the life of a starving actor in Dublin until John Boorman came a callin.

What a place to go on vacation! Was it still a chemical producing town when you were there? It was known as Chemnitz during the Nazi Era, I believe the town is called that again.

I crossed Checkpoint Charlie back in 81, it was a big risk since I was as high as a kite. The Boyz (Stasi) followed me around in East Berlin, I thought it was comical.

The location of the Interchange Office in Counterpart is the old Templehoff Airport Terminal.

When you lived in the socialist paradise, crossing any border was a privilege of the highest order. Going to Bulgaria was like a trip to French Riviera. I loved West Berlin- it had a "vibe". Viewed it for the first time from the other side, it felt like standing on the edge of Grand Canyon filled crocodiles and land mines. Proletaries of the world unite, indeed.

Has anyone thought about what this is doing to the poor woman that was raped all those many years ago. To drag all this up now is to traumatize her again.

West Berlin was party central, it had a live for today vibe. Unfortunately for myself it was too popular, I couldn't find a place to stay! Never had to deal with that problem anywhere, backpacking on a shoestring budget, I didn't have many options. And I didn't want to get picked over by East German customs again. So I rented out a spare room at an old pensioner's apartment, when Christine Brinkley (strong resemblance) offered herself to me I had no place to take her. Wasn't going to risk getting rolled going back to hers.

It is not Neeson's rant that is wrong. It is his
stupidity of telling it openly that is wrong.
This is what Neeson should have said.

"40 years ago a close female told me she was raped by a black man. I was so angry that I went looking for a white man any white man to beat up."

If he said that he would be hailed as a hero and receive endless accolades.

BTW: Another day, another apology Gucci has issued an apology. Please check all your sweaters.

Oh, and also check all your Nike shoes.

West Berlin was a fine place for party- if little dark. But, Budapest in 1990 was THE shit when it came to drinking and whoring. Went to Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Berlin, Prague, Vienna and Budapest that year-all backpacking and staying at hostels or train station benches. And Budapest was hands down the place to party.
