Letterkenny: Make Northern Ontario great again...or is it Listowel?

While not as big as Trailer Park Boys here, the show has gone viral in the States. Due to popular demand, Hulu has picked up Season's 3 - 6.

That's a broad and shallow statement Mr Deeds, you can do better.

Canada's status on the world stage has never been higher. We are seen as the defenders of human rights in the face of brutal dictatorships. Other democratic countries may not have the will for this type of fight but they deeply respect our efforts. In this regard Justin is following his father's doctrine and the formidable Chrystia Freeland is executing it. Wear a Canadian flag lapel in places like Amsterdam, Munich and Copenhagen Mr Deeds, time how long it takes you to get laid. A popular trivial little show isn't going to change that. We are venerated on the world stage...even with the problems of hicks, skids and hockey players.

Acclaimed by IMF Chairwoman Chirtine Lagarde, Chrystia would make a great Prime Minister!

Back on topic...and something baser.

With all due respect to Penny, I would rather put the tongue swirlie to Michelle Mylette.

Who knows how American minds work when it comes to Canadian content.

Trailer Park Boys barely made a ripple in the US market yet Letterkenny is one of the most popular shows on Hulu. It has "The Charlie Farquaharson Effect", Don Harron had a peripheral role in the show HEE HAW. By the time the show ended it's run Charlie was the most popular character on the show.

Von do you remember "hows it goen eh". Its true we are much admired in the world in-spite of out PM. However show like this dont exactly display our people in the best light especially when it appeals to ignorant red necks in the US.

Oh relax!

Have you ever watched the show, it's actually quite smart with ingenious wordplay. It's not rednecks whom made it popular in the States, it's millennials. It's certainly works on a higher plain than Trailer Park Boys.

....although this is a classic scene.

I love the show. However, I went to see the live show at casinorama and they stunk up the joint.

The guys that play the hockey coach and Squirrly Dan did about a half hour of stand up each that was so fucking bad I wanted my money back. No timing, their subject was: fat people, religion and how to survive college. It showed me these comedians should stick with the tv show cause they won’t be able to feed themselves with the stand up route.

The rest of the act was a 15 min bit squeezed into two hours.

The only thing that could have saved it was if Katy Cat strutted onto the state in her short shorts but even she wasn’t going to be in the same province while this live show was on.

That much being says: great tv show, terrible live act.

I’ll probably cancel crave tv anyway.

It probably wouldn't be a good live act, Mark Forward (Coach) and K. Trevor Wilson (Squirrly Dan) are stand up comics, the rest are actors. The shows are written by Jared Keeso (Wayne) and Jacob Tierney (the gay skid), not sure they had time to write material for a live show.

I was surprised that Sarah Gadon joined the cast. She's like Viggo Mortensen, she can play anything. And like Viggo, she does what she likes. Was she there? I haven't seen her in the show yet, she was a Cronenberg favorite...has he retired? She went from Letterkenny to HBO's S3 of True Detectives, I'm going to keep Crave while that airs.

You know you have the stuff when Viggo and Michael Fassbender serenade you. She played Emma Jung in A Dangerous Method...at the ripe old age of 22.

There's already enough arguing. Leave your stupid, unwelcome and inappropriate political thoughts to the politics section. This WAS a good natured and fun thread before you tried pushing a political agenda. Get a life.

Some people. Sheesh.

It's great, too, when they drop a special for St. Patty's Day or Halloween. Great word play!
Is there any way to slow down the dialogue?

All of the women in Letterkenney are gorgeous, I'm particularly fond of Melanie Scrofano who plays McMurray's wife. She has another show, never watched it, called Wynonna Earp.

She's gorgeous but her last name is indecent. lol Translated from Napolitan to English she becomes Melanie Homonger.

Correction: I got my information wrong.

Jared Keeso (Wayne) and Jacob Tierney co-write the shows, but Tierney does not play the gay skid. He plays Pastor Glen, who's fuckin funny if you ask me.

Martina Navratilova is correct, she said Canadians are good looking in general...except for the bald monstrosity posting this.

That was the point of this scene, it didn't make sense to me at first. Keeso and Tierney wanted a complete break from questions about Trailer Park Boys. From this scene on the show was taken on its own merit?

Bonnie McMurray is so sweet!
