,... it comes off like I am sitting at home having a pity party. I do go out & partake in things. I am the assistant organizer of a skate meet-up group & also skate at a couple of clubs. I own my own biz. sooo time is limited for meeting people. We do live in a world of people becoming couples. Even in the meet-up social groups this dynamic is going on. For the most part the women are paying more attention to & gravitating to the guys they are " interested" in. BTW. I spent a good 10 years going by the advise you give ( given by others back then). Result is the short guys make "female friends" . Many of these friends went on to hook-up with guys who were lacking in personality or some just plain jerks .... yet average to tall. One lady who is my height that I have known now for 11 years this fall ... even after all these years of failed relationships ... says.... " I need to find a guy like you." We are very compatable. But she admitts she is attracted only to average to tall guys. I have never known a short guy to have a girl friend unless she is fat. NO point arguing it ... WE all know it is extreemly rare for a woman to date a short guy. Harvard psychology dept. years ago developed the I.A.T. ( implicit association test) used in various studies . The purpose of these tests are to get at " what we think... not what we say". One happened to be designed to detect womens' feelings towards short, average & tall men. It reflected in numerous tests of groups through out the country that females attribute negative qualities to short men ( subconsciously). Noooo surprise there. Soooo as I said before I like to leave that group. Loose the "short man stigma". Not going to change the world ..... I see it sorta like " when in Rome do as the Romans."
