LCBO Strike?

The Koreans won't charge us an extra nickel to sell alcohol in their convenience stores. Who needs union workers that hold the public as hostage?

It's not like there won't be alcohol available.

You can get wine at various wine stores. You can get beer at The Beer Store.

Spirits might be more difficult to purchase, if only a few LCBO stores remain open during a strike.

But really, can people not survive on beer and wine?

Hopefully not someone with a drinking problem. Seriously, if Teachers are not an essential service, how can alcohol check-out clerks be more important?

If the LCBO do go on strike, does anyone know how long their stores will be closed for?

I just need to see how much I have to stock up on! hehe

Until the Liberals capitulate, as usual. I predict that the strike slogan of the LCBO union will be " We are doing this for the kids"

1. The issue goes way deeper than access to booze. It is the extortion of the public that drives me nuts
2. Distribution of alcohol via another channel, does not mean the province does not still rake in the taxes. a $20 bottle of wine will still deliver $5-7 in taxes to the province.

The tax is still available to the province but not the profit.
Selection may well go down as the buying power of the LCBO is second to none.
Price? It may not go down as much as people may think. Check out what's been going on in other provinces.
