I just recently noticed a thread in the Stripclub section that really think about how secretive terb really is. Just an honest question here do we think LE are retarded? I mean we post little short forms and abriviation on terb and talk with a terb jargon but really if LE are registered on terb how many of them are we actually fooling? I mean most of us got the hang of terb and got used to the references within a day or two. Heck the abbrivations are even posted as stickies it's not like you need to be a military code braker to figure out our codes. Secondly PM's when things need to be discussed with more discretion, how do we know who is on the other end of pm's or do we assume the the average horny man tries harder to crack the codes and figure out terb jargon then your local officer?

It occurs to me that LE is not on duty 24/7 and might even enjoy a night out with the boys. I would not be ready to figure boards as sources of tips. And figure complaints might be.

I do not think LE needs Terb or any other site to figure who to bust and not to bust.
Of course they read this stuff, why not. Is any of it use in court, I doubt it. Right now these are anonymous posts. They would have to get a warrant, find out the emails of all the posters, track them down, embarass them to the point that they would testify that their posts are true. Highly unlikely.
Would they read Terb to stay up on current events and maybe pick on someone, sure they would.

Like others have said - i believe they are aware of the boards and probably monitor to a certain degree.
I'm sure they know who is who - but unless something raises a red flag...they let it go. I'm also sure they visit SPs and MPs - cops have a pretty shit job and see a lot of shitty people day in and day out - they need outlets too.

One of the most pathetic things about this board is how the moderators and others are scared of the police using the board to catch them or punish them in some way. If people were discussing something that the police really care about, like underage girls, they might act on information from here.
But if you think that writing about strippers who give blowjobs results in them getting arrested, you are nuts. The only thing that cops do with that information is what the rest of us do, go and get blowjobs. Nobody has ever come up with any evidence of terb-type information being used in court in Ontario, that I know of. But people are still afraid, for no apparent reason.
